http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660647&pbp_id=941224 - Both MLB and LOLB start doing a weird back and forth motion and are mirroring each other exactly

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660647&pbp_id=941916 - harder to see since the play ends earlier. looks like the LOLB reacts normally but the MLB is in the same loop as previous play

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660647&pbp_id=942002 - LOLB does the back and forth thing. MLB doesn't but completely freezes for a few ticks

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660647&pbp_id=942437 - pretty much same as last play but MLB freezing is more obvious

In all plays,
MLB is set to man w/o move, FB->HB->Zone
LOLB is set to man w/o move, HB->FB->Zone

I checked other goalline plays from same game and didn't see the issue on any pitches or screens, so I'm thinking just an issue with the QB rushes.

I'll try to find some instances in other games when I get a chance to make sure it wasn't something screwy with just the one game

Some more links and we'll be able to verify easily. Thanks for the detailed post.

If it's easily re creatable we'll get this filed.

I don't know if it correlates, but the last one, the CB just stopped and watched.

If you mean the weakside corner he's in a flat zone so that's why he runs over there and stops. strong side CB is getting blocked.

I should have time tomorrow morning to watch some more film, i'll post whatever i can find

don;t really understand what the MLb and LOLb are supposed to be doing in respect of their tactics.

Did this end up in the wrong place? I don't see what this has to do with the OP?

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660646&pbp_id=408756 - MLB Freeze

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660646&pbp_id=408780 - MLB Bouncing

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660690&pbp_id=400228 - Non-GL defense. Looks like it actually happens to all 3 LBs and the SS here. Not a part of this team so can't tell you what the coverage progressions are, but my guess would be that all of those players would be keyed on one of the backs

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660687&pbp_id=939747 - ROLB and maybe the SS as well

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660666&pbp_id=405616 - MLB and LOLB

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660666&pbp_id=407690 - MLB and LOLB

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660666&pbp_id=409445 - MLB and LOLB

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660666&pbp_id=410809 - MLB

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1699722&pbp_id=773796 - All 3 LBs and both Safeties lol

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660687&pbp_id=940398 - pretty much everyone not on the line

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660654&pbp_id=406808 - MLB and SS freeze

From what I've been seeing, my guess is it's an issue with players set to cover the backs man to man. Players that are blitzing or moving to zones appear to be acting normally. Just imo from all the freaking replays I just watched lol

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1662855&pbp_id=693304 - WL replay, harder to see but looks like the ROLB is having the issue on this one.

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1662883&pbp_id=692246 - Another instance in WL, way more obvious. MLB and 2 CBs, and the 2 CBs are definitely covering the HB or FB since they have to be in cover man with that positioning

Curses. Thanks for the info.

You guys will have to take my word for it . My LOLB took a couple of step forward, froze for several ticks, then well after the QB was past and heading up the sideline, he resumed moving again.

Well, apparently it's not just goalline plays either...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660687&pbp_id=939311

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660687&pbp_id=942412

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1699722&pbp_id=773092 - MLB and ROLB

Even on plays that aren't new...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660978&pbp_id=167732 - FS, MLB, and LOLB all freeze

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660978&pbp_id=172253 - and again...

http://goallineblitz.com/game/replay.pl?game_id=1660978&pbp_id=173386- MLB bounce

I'm sure I could find more, they've been on probably half the replays I've watched. Feel like this is probably enough though.

This is really hard to say on dot's this level. Here is what I think is going on. All of these I watched are rushes, so the LB's go into zone. Players move around a bit in zone. I think they have high speed and low agility and are overshooting where they intended to stop in the zone and end up correcting.

Can you confirm the high speed/ low agility, or tell us what they are?

This is just normal zone behavior.

its normal zone behavior to sprint forward 4 yards, then backpedal 2, then forward 1, then back .5, then forward .25, etc? if so that should probably be fixed too because that's pretty dumb

In that first replay of OP, one LB has 50ish speed, 20ish agility, the other one has 20ish of both. So very different speed/agility ratios and identical behavior (they basically mirror each other in the replay)
