Still no respect.

This might just be me, but I'm not one to claim "no respect" in a week when my team loses 57-0. You should have a shot to win the next 3, so we'll see.

Hey RTGC, just wanted to say thanks for the effort you put into this too.

Anytime people are ranked, someone's not gonna be happy *where* they're ranked, but these projections give us poor nerds something else to obsess over, and it's appreciated

Thanks. I enjoy doing it and figure that if it gives us something else to talk about then it's good for the league.

Week 8 Game Predictions will be out shortly...

This seemed to be a popular piece last week so I'll keep doing it. I think I'm going to start ignoring the predicted 80 point spreads and just say 35+ for the wacky numbers. Here goes...

Week 8 Predictions:

Alpha:

Nissa (by 8) over Bratislave
Charleston (by 10) over Leicester
Krakow (by 8) over Fehervar
Players (by 12) over Florida
Moscow Bears (by 12) over London
LBT (by 35+) over Texas
Minsk (by 35+) over Warsaw
Moscow Vandals (by 8) over Tallaght

Zeta:

Carluke (by 13) over Sydney
Chernobyl (by 12) over Subotica
London (by 35+) over C-Town
Warsaw (by 19) over Grodno
St. Petersburg (by 11) over Hagenau
Volgograd (by 3) over Hat Creek
Longreach (by 8) over Prague
Tricity (by 1) over The Look

There are a couple that seem wacky to me. It looks like the formula weights bad losses more than good wins. Enjoy!

3td's seems to be our average margin for this week.

Not being cocky at all but I will take the 35 points and the TX Aggies. Not saying we are going to win it but hopefully it is not a blowout.

That's a good bet, I'd say. I think Minsk is the only team that can put up basketball scores. You guys weren't an easy scout and we're definitely not lookin past ya. Best of luck...gametime approaches!

Yeah, I was predicting a 28-10 win over the Aggies. You have some guys we're worried about.

Of course, I'll be thrilled if we force a fumble on every kick off return you get, and we score 35+. Haha, and it's nothing personal at all, you guys seem nice. We just have to get over some 100+ point losses last season, and stomping someone else seems the best way to raise morale. But if we didn't do it to Warsaw, we won't do it to you. Unless we tried some weird stuff against Warsaw. But maybe we didn't. I thought we had, but I'm not sure. Oh, well, I guess you'll have to watch all our games and figure it out. I just do special teams, I have no idea whether we can run or pass at all. Hey, Conal, when does Tully get back from vacation?

This is going to be a tough game. I highly doubt we are going to go 35+. I would bet this game comes down to a TD, or 2 at most.

This game has all the makins to be our first loss of the season.

Believe me, we are not overlooking this game, or the game against Moscow, for that matter.

Or the game against Krakow after that, or the game against Sydney after.. ok, I really hope we can beat Sydney. Everyone, believe us, we are ready for a loss, and not taking anyone lightly.

We're also really glad this forum has become as active as it has, partially because of Moontayle's rankings, and partially because of some new players/teams. Good times, thanks for the fun!

Next time we play I'm begging you to to overlook us. Impressive effort by your [insert bad word of your choice] secondary.

I knew we had a good D game plan, but it's hard to hang with 8 freaking INTs holding you back. We just need to get some talent infusion on our offense. I would wish you good luck with the rest of your season, but you're good enough not to need luck.
