tbh, I don't think it matters.

You either get blocked, the DE gets blocked, and it's a completed pass into quadruple coverage...

OR

Either you or the DE is unblocked through a failed vision check or not enough blockers on that side, in which case all you need is speed & agility.

So either he shits the bed

OR

He wakes up just in time to race to the toilet, but has to be fast as hell getting there.

Got it.

I just started a LB Blitzer and never really played one before, and I was looking at your build....what should I concentrate on first?

It looks like speed, agility, vision, tackling, strength, stamina, jumping, and confidence are the main attributes here. I will be honest and say that I have not done a search yet for LB Blitzer builds, and I am about to do that. The LB is level 1 so I wanted to get his build in order before the season started.

Thanks for any help!

for blitzers, the main idea is that speed has to be ridiculously high. (final builds have 140ish and up). you have to balance that with the need for many attributes to be reasonable for a LB to be good.

ive had more luck building well-rounded to coverage LBs but other people in past posts have good blueprints for blitzers. just be warned that its hard to find a d-coordinator who will use your LB like that and can therefore be kinda unrewarding if you get on a team where hes underused or misused. he ends up being an overall bad, although fast, LB.

or you can choose a blitzing LB, build in a more well rounded manner knowing that the d-coord does not give a shit and won't blitz you, so you end up being a viable coverage man, a viable run stopper while also getting in on the QB every now and then.

there are plenty of DC's in this game that utilize blitzing LB's... especially at the higher levels.

true, but its a highly specialized position and lower levels likely wont cater to your build. i'm not saying you cant do it but its not 10 seasons of 50+ sacks

This would not be a very effective approach.

There is 1 main attribute for a blitzing LB and that's speed.

The secondary attribute is agility and AEQ.... emphasis on secondary.

The rest of the attributes you listed have little to nothing to do with blitzing. Vision is important for dropping into coverage and little else. Tackling and strength are important to defend the run. I personally favor those a bit for blitzing LBs because you don't want your LB to a liability against the run. Stamina keeps your LB on the field longer. Jumping is a guarantee your blitzing LB never makes it to the World League. Confidence is important once you begin developing your AEQs.

The "secret" or "key" to building an MVP 40+ sack LB is how you go about building these things up. You can't build everything at once and you'll likely need to sacrifice building some things in favor of others (i.e. training vs. AEQ). That's up to you. There's no 1 formula that works.... Just whatever you do... be consistent. The biggest mistake I see people make is they start off trying to build towards one goal.... and then change their strategy half way through and their LB never recovers....
