Casual Basic Ai defense busts a WR screen up with ease, DE not even in passive at all.

Please don't tell me this is working as intended, there is 100% no way to improve this if a Basic Ai is busting this up before it even gets off.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding here, but what is it you think should be happening? If you're just saying it's a badly designed play, that is not a bug.

im also a little confused as to what is wrong here.

I don't understand this thread either but I have always been curious as to how the questionable screens were doing in the casual leagues.

I just see a TE not hitting/holding his block early enough?

That's not the same screen....we need info about what you believe the actual problem is not a rant that you think all WR screens are broken please.

A. Thats regular, the formation by the D is custom > apples and oranges

B. My TE is 120 speed in my link, i'd bet dollars to donuts that blocking TE in your replay isn't .1 over 100 speed, so the fact that he got there "faster" is a mute point.

A busted up WR screen in Casual had nothing to do with tactics, DPC or build, it is flat out not working as intended in Basic. I'm trying very hard to find more. Give me a day before this is closed and not a bug.


To bhall, the part about the DE was a side note that he did NOT change or bust it up, nor was there a pass deflection by him.....some people need their hand held, you may not, but others do.

The other link is not DIRECTLY related, but again, screen on other side against Basic Ai default formation and its another bad route/throw and never works there either!

OK, maybe its not a bug.

I just used own scout team on the 20 closest games in score and it was called 3 times. The one i posted here and 2 others.

This one is also an "insta" broken up play

But the only one out of the 3 that completed the other team was in zone and the CB was backing up.....


I'm looking at the weakside screen pass i linked earlier against other teams now.

Ya...its kind of a double edged sword in this game. You make it realistic where defenders don't have know the play before it happens and/or pass harder vision checks and then they sit off and the horrible defensive pathing followed by weird blocking logic makes the play ridiculous favor the offense. On the other side you make defenders pass easy vision checks and see the play before the offense does and you have shit like that...defense busting up a play like they seen that shit coming all game. It sucks that its like that but the horrible defensive pathing compounded by ridiculous stacks from YAC Attack added to already crazy bonus's make the current solution better than the latter.

What defense it is had nothing to do with the point I stated. The TE wasn't in the proper position to block the CB.

Speed was a guess, I can't see either TE build, again the point was he simply didn't get in position before the ball was thrown. In my opinion without more examples of this happening more often on different teams or with different TE's, it is most likely a problem with the TE used and not the play.

sometimes the CB busts the play up... I'd much rather see that then what my link about the weak I wr screen does
