If you think your D-line is the strongest/best d-line in Pee Wee, speak up, or better yet send my team a scrimmage, and I'll prove with the power of my O-line's judo.

"In short, resisting a more powerful opponent will result in your defeat, whilst adjusting to and evading your opponent's attack will cause him to lose his balance, his power will be reduced, and you will defeat him. This can apply whatever the relative values of power, thus making it possible for weaker opponents to beat significantly stronger ones. This is the theory of ju yoku go o seisu."

That DL is your stock high Strength one, so should be interesting to see what your OL does differently.

I would think this is a failed test as while that block looks to have some uses, the general preformance of the OL was pretty poor. Thus the benefits of that block don't seem to outweigh the downsides. Well at least IMO.

The question is if you can incorporate this block successfully into a proven style of offensive line?

The point wasn't to win, it was an experimental team running a bunch of different experiments.

This experiment was to determine if cut-block loses its effectiveness versus MUCH stronger and heavier D-lines. In copper, the average build doesn't look like the average gold build, so in order to determine its effectiveness, I had to play a better team.

Now I need to see how to make cut block work against much stronger players. Do I need more strength? More agility? This is the point of the experiment.

The fact that the score was run up wasn't the goal.

I didn't run up the score on purpose, that team in my no-no auto-pilot team and other than tagging, I have not changed any settings since pre-season.

But ya, I could see cut-block working well in the right setup. The setup you have isn't the best setup, hence the experimentation. Thanks for the info, I am sure this raised more than a single eye at the use of cut block.

Or more blocking. Judging from the plays here a cut block can be performed at any point during the play, so it must be something that is either checked at a random point during the play or maybe once every X clicks. Thus the longer you hold the block the more likely it is you get a chance to make a cut block.

From what I've seen, cut blocks don't work that well on the line. They're awesome on kick/punt returns, though.

I have a suspicion that the cut block would be more effective on the outside run plays. If the TE/FB/WR2 would all cut block their guys, that could be pretty deadly at the low levels when the defenders lay on the ground for 10 minutes.
