I just noticed that it happens repeatedly in that game.

Out of position penalty? Maybe catching does matter to a punter?

That's what I mean. It's a guard lined up as a punter, so his out of position penalty is probably 50% or something like that. Which means his catching (and jumping) is probably at 4 or something. I wonder if that causes him miss the ball.
