Warrior General Games

I'll be using this thread for the predictions throughout the whole season in an effort to keep it organized easier.

WEEK 1 PREDICTIONS

INTERCONFERENCE GAMES
A7 vs Zambezi
Our first matchup looks to be a good one right off the bat. Both of these teams are coming off good seasons and should be in the thick of the playoff race later in the season. I see A7 coming out and making a statement in this one.

BSS vs San Diego
The AquaBats had a great run last season and BSS looks to be preparing for the future more than anything. Giving SD the nod here.

Philly vs Norfolk
Philly shouldn't have much trouble here.

Warriors vs MHWD
An easy start to the season for the Warriors.

Lincoln vs Carthage
Another good looking matchup. I only know Carthage by name but with the rep they have I suspect they will start the season with a bang.

MMM vs 49ers
MMM got a decent draw in week 1 considering the possibilities. This will be a good test for both teams as they are fairly evenly matched up. I'll give the 49ers the slight edge but Manchester may pull out a surprise.

Mega City vs Cowbell
Two new APL entrants face off this week. Both look good but Mega has a roster that lives up to its name. I'll ignore the farm team stuff and go out on a limb and give them the win.

Nuremberg vs WWR
A newly promoted team gets a shot at a demoted WL team. I think the Rhinos know the drill by now. Start the losing boys.

ABD vs Somalia
I like what ABD accomplished last season. They've been bad during preseason but that's never a sign of what's really to come. Unfortunately, the first thing coming is Somalia. I can't pick against a team that I firmly believe will be the #1 seed come seasons end.

Ghana vs Guyana P
Who doesn't like a little spiked punch?

Guyana G vs Outlaws
No comment.

Texas vs RMT
Who saw the Thunder rattling off a 12 win season last year in the deep Ele conference? I know I didn't. Let's see if they can pick up where they left off.

SoA vs TGR
TGR has some small depth issues and weren't impressive last season. Going with the Sons.

CWE vs ECS
CWE should continue their winning ways while ECS continues their losing ways.

ICB vs Nile River
Nile showed promise last season but they're facing one of the better Ele teams. Not a good draw at all.

Cape Verde vs Nairobi
Speaking of bad draws. Nairobi will give the Aces a rough greeting into the world of APL.

Where was this in the WL last season? It might have helped out a bit!

WEEK 3 PREDICTIONS
LION
Philly vs TGR
Both teams are sitting at 1-1 but I have a feeling that they'll be heading down different paths as the weeks progress. Philly is coming off a big loss that wasn't helped by turnovers. They should be able to hold on to the ball this time around and take the easy win.

Lincoln vs Somalia
The Saints first 2 games were lopsided affairs with different outcomes. Last season they didn't fare too well against Somalia and I don't see much changing here except maybe a slightly closer game.

MMM vs MHWD
Won't happen much this season but MMM is heavily favored here.

Nuremberg vs San Diego
This won't be the week Nuremberg breaks out of their funk.

Texas vs MCM
This could go either way. On paper MCM looks to have the edge and, while they've been more competitive in games, Mega has also had an easier schedule so far. I'll go on a limb and pick Texas but this could go either way.

CWE vs Oklahoma
The Outlaws are 2-0 and apparently fighting to avoid having to change their name. I think the undefeated streak ends early and ends this week as they face their toughest test to date.

Zambezi vs Nile River
Another toss-up for me. Both teams are 1-1 and looking to break out early. I have more faith in the Silverbacks right now.

Cape Verde vs Guyana P
Guyana should dominate and get an early punchout.


ELEPHANT
A7 vs ECS
A7 is playing great ball right now while ECS is floundering around the same results.

BSS vs WWR
Both teams have their issues this season. The Rhinos have managed to go undefeated through 2 weeks while BSS has yet to pull out a win. You know the drill though. Rhinos lose.

ABD vs Nairobi
Not looking like the week that ABD breaks out of their early season struggles.

Ghana vs RMT
Bye week.

Guyana G vs Cowbell
Gotta have more wins should be Cowbells motto. Great start to the season and if they get by GG they will open up 4-0.

SoA vs Warriors
Good matchup between two teams that should be in the thick of the playoff race later. Last season the Sons lost badly and my concern for this early season game is their chemistry. There's a big chem discrepancy between both teams and that may prove to be the Sons biggest weakness.

Carthage vs 49ers
No reason to believe Carthage doesn't continue dominating here.

ICB vs Norfolk
This will be the last easy game the Breakers have for the next 5 weeks so enjoy it boys.
