I don't understand why we can't, at minimum, split the 16 returning teams between the two conferences before adding the newbs.

I think both Death Valley and QCBC will be competitive in Alpha, but I see 4 teams will pretty much no prayer
as someone with first hand experience, going 8-8 or 9-7-1 in the tough conference is more fun than going 15-1 in the easy conference.
