I have a little time today so I wanted to breakdown the playoffs for the Western Conference and give some predictions.
GAME 1. Baby Ragers 387.79 (16-0, #1 Seed) -vs- Manitoba Maulers 338.57 (8-8, 8th Seed)
Offense Rank: Ragers 2nd, Maulers 9th
Defense Rank: Ragers 2nd, Maulers 14th
No surprise that the Ragers are the #1 Seed heading into the playoffs, they had a great season and look to continue their win streak. Manitoba is going to have to have an outstanding game on both sides of the ball to beat the Ragers. Control the clock and find a way to move the ball against one of the premier defenses in the league. The last time these two teams met up the Ragers won 140-10.
Prediction: Ragers should run away with this one....Ragers win 125-3
GAME 2. Esophagus Stuffers 396.46 (13-3, 4th Seed) -vs- H-Town Hitmen 336.49 (11-5, 5th Seed)
Offense Rank: Stuffers 1st, Hitmen 8th
Defense Rank: Stuffers 9th, Hitmen 3rd
I am surprised that the Stuffers were so dominant late in the season. They really only have 1 player that you need to stop (Rushing QB). The blueprint has been presented but not enough game planning or talent on most teams in this league to stop him. The Hitmen can get the job done if they can stuff the Stuffers on the QB rollouts. Watch out though as the Stuffers could try and mix it up a little more to be less predictable. The last time these two teams met the Stuffers won 110-52
Prediction: Stuffers will win this one if H-Town doesnt protect the outside. H-Town wins 76-59
GAME 3. Free Masons 372.57 (14-2, 2nd Seed) -vs- Greenville Infestation 310.15 (8-8, 7th Seed)
Offense Rank: Masons 3rd, Greenville 7th
Defense Rank: Masons 1st, Greenville 11th
The Masons are my team so I wont try to fluff up some BS about how we are going to win a Championship. The Masons are a hard team to matchup against. They move players around and have proven to be a solid rushing team and passing team. 4 HBs...all had over 1200 yards rushing. One of them had over 2500 yards rushing and almost 1500 yards receiving. Greenville is another team setup with all CPU players except for the rushing QB. Look for Greenville to find ways to get their QB on the outside where he can cause some damage.
Prediction: I dont predict my own games....But its obvious that if we stop their QB...we win!
GAME 4. San Antonio Gunslingers 338.38 (14-2, 3rd Seed) -vs- Pegram Pitbulls 326.59 (10-6, 6th Seed)
Offense Rank: Gunslingers 4th, Pitbulls 5th
Defense Rank: Gunslingers 4th, Pitbulls 5th
This game has the most potential for an upset. Yes the Gunslingers beat the Pitbulls in their previous matchup, but I think the score will be much closer. If the Pitbulls are hungry and want to advance to the second round they need to follow the blueprint of how to beat the Gunslingers. If they choose to ignore it, they will get beat down once again. The last time these two teams met the Gunslingers won 93-21.
Prediction: I think that the Gunslingers will be prepared and will win 86-17
