Those prime promos are almost a guaranteed win at this level. Having a player appreciation day and 3 mini-helmets against us were too much to overcome. Still we only lost by a FG on 3 of them and two FGs on one. We finally were able to get a DC mid-way through but it was too late. This is all part of the game. Congrats to those teams who make it--definitely a tough league.

Yep--still had the failed D up from last season's playoffs--but we were able to find a DC soon after.

I really have a lot of respect for the teams who are able to stay in WL year in and year out as this game is such a time suck and my time is becoming more and more scarce and I know many other people are in the same boat across the game.

I'll tell you we are spending $27m on season long promotions though and another $20m on salaries and we've never had a home playoff game since the new finances (I believe) and we have a ton of cash. We don't spend on nachos etc typically though (haven't done any promos this season and I think last season we spent on 1 mini-helmet for a game we needed to make the playoffs) and we saved up cash the first season the system changed in case it actually mattered again eventually.
I'm under the impression that most teams rarely finish below 90 morale at the end of a game anyway if it is competitive, so I'm not really sure those promos make much of a difference (with the exception of the mini-helmet, which I think can be a pretty good investment).
