WEEK 3 RANKINGS
LION
1 Canton (2-0) - Two weeks of taking apart some very good teams does not leave the rest of this conference with much to play for.
2 CWE (2-0) - Another team crusing along. It's hard to see them having any real competition the next 3 weeks so I expect them to stay right here.
3 Philly Franklins (1-1) - Completely shutout against Canton. Now that they got that out of the way they can get back to fighting for the 2-4 seeds in the playoffs. I won't drop them for this last loss because, quite honestly, I don't see any team ranked beneath them beating Canton either.
4 Lincoln (2-0) - Keeping with the trends, Lincoln is cruising along as well. Week 4 may be their first taste of competition this season.
5 Somalia Pirates (2-0) - This is getting boring and repetitive but like most teams ranked up here I don't really see much to challenge them until week 5.
6 San Diego (2-0) - Kind of looking forward to week 5 since that will either shine a light on this team or expose them.
7 Uganda Silverbacks (0-2) - Two tough losses and with Canton up next it's easy to see an 0-3 opening. I can see them ripping off 4 wins after that though.
8 Zambezi Silverbacks (1-1) - I could have bumped them up a spot but I don't know a thing about Komodo. There's a 4 week stretch coming up anyway that will show us how good Zambezi is this season.
9 Guyana Punch (1-1) - Another week shows more promise for this team and they get a W too. Definitely don't see a top 4 seed here but this team could sneak its way into the playoffs if this keeps up.
10 Hall of Heroes (1-1) - Easy and expected win. The next 4 will be anything but that.
11 Oklahoma Outlaws (0-2) - Right now what needs to be outlawed is this offense. It needs to get going if they want to put some points on the board and get a W.
12 Texas Longhorns (0-2) - They fared better in week 2 but a loss is a loss any way you cut it. I see 0-4 in their future.
13 Komodo Dragon (0-2) - Getting crushed by teams that probably won't crack the top 4 in either conference come seasons end. Not expecting much out of this crew.
14 Transylvania (0-2) - Playing through a hellish stretch of games right now and probably staring at an 0-5 start at best.
15 Nile River Assassins (0-2) - Their not getting shut out so there's always that positive. They should pick up a win somewhere down the line. Maybe even next week.
16 Port Arthur (0-2) - This CPU rostered team should not even be ranked.
ELEPHANT
1 BSSI (2-0) - Pretty dominating win over a good GG team. Could be a while before this team is tested.
2 Sons (2-0) - Shutout win over LMMM. Weeks 4 and 5 should give us better insight into what the Sons can accomplish this season.
3 TAP (2-0) - After 2 weeks of dominating teams TAP could see it's first real test against the Warriors next week.
4 ICB (2-0) - Still undefeated after a nice defensive performance that only allowed 4 FGs until the last 37 seconds of the game.
5 Guyana (0-2) - Back to back losses against the currently top ranked teams in both conferences. They need to get things turned around fast with A7 up next. I still think this is where they belong so I'm not dropping them yet but another loss will see them fall.
6 Warriors (2-0) - Solid win over ABD this week. They get TAP next and that should be a good game. Last season the Warriors won in the regular season but TAP pulled out the W when it mattered most – the first round of the playoffs.
7 ABD (1-1) - ABD was in this game but a weak second half that saw them only put up 3 points wasn't enough to get the job done. ICB will be a tough one next week but then ABD should start putting up a nice win streak.
8 RMT (2-0) - Easy win for the Thunder and this streak should go on another week.
9 A7 (2-0) - Two good wins to open the season but we really don't know much about either team. To be taken seriously, A7 needs to beat Guyana.
10 Nairobi (1-1) - Dominated Boston. Now we know that this team might not be going 20-0 this time around but they won't be laying down either.
11 Ghana (1-1) - Not a very good game at all this week. We'll see how they do with ECS.
12 Norfolk (1-1) - After dominating in week 1, Norfolk was given the same treatment a week later. Next 2 weeks should give us a good idea of what we have here. Right now it's not looking like a team that will crack .500 at season's end.
13 London (0-2) - It's easy to see this team going 0-5. The competition is just too good on their schedule right now.
14 ECS (0-2) - Schedule eases up a little the next 3 weeks so if they're going to break out a win it needs to happen now.
15 49ers (0-2) - At least they scored a FG this time around right. 3 more weeks against top teams before this team can compete in a game.
16 Boston (0-2) - Not seeing a competitive game until week 4.
