Warrior General Games

What's up, World League. I HC & DC the Milwaukee Juggernauts, the team with the youngest roster & lowest SP value (pre-season-rollover) in the league. Last season we squeaked into the playoffs, somehow put together a few decent gameplans and got some much needed RNG luck to make a championship game appearance in SLAP, where we were thoroughly stomped 58-0. Although I optimistically think we can win some games this season, we might be the most common pick to lose this first week in WL Survivor and are expected to struggle to do better than 0-16.

So in order to give us some relevance, and make playing against such a lousy team somewhat interesting for those of you on our schedule this season, I give you The Juggernauts' Collision of Stat-padding contest. All you guys need to do is beat us as badly as you can, and I'll keep track of the top team & individual player stats from the games.

You are effectively competing against the other teams that play us, which includes the 3-time defending WL champions, so bring your A-game and rack up some big numbers. The stat totals in any particular stat will be kept until bumped out of the top-3, highlights for the best individual plays will also be linked. I'm not going to count any scrimmages, so only one lucky Zeta team gets to compete. Keep in mind that for any of your positive stats or highlights to appear here, your team must win the game.

Should your team lose, lolhowever, rather than highlighting your best players, I'll be lowlighting your worst... and nobody wants to be that guy. This thread will not be held responsible for trades, cuts or forced retirements.

At season's end, the winners and losers will be announced, and no non-GLB-sanctioned prizes will be handed out. Actually, we'll see what we can do for prizes.

Finally updated for the whole season.

Alpha conference went 7-8 against us, while Zeta was 1-0, proving without a doubt "lolalpha."

The most impressive team was clearly Korb, who beat the crap out of us in all phases of the game, and scored the only special teams touchdown against us. The biggest disappointment was the coverage bug that ruined Odessa's sim. Their defense shut us down completely with a heavy morale advantage despite making only 2/3 of their tackles...

HHWC showed us the most impressive dots at a couple offensive positions with T.O. Time at WR and Frank Wang at HB, while I have no idea who the best QB might've been. Warsaw's actually were damn good when we played them, one of them completing a 46.5 yarder through the air the whole way - blowing all other long throws away.

Defensively, HHWC's dots killed us with their fumble roll skills, but 89% of the time Korb tackled anyone every time.

I'm pretty sure every team that earned their way into the standings finished with the lead (or a player with the lead) in at least one category, so no participation trophies will be handed out.

Failures

After forcing & recovering fumbles on back-to-back Juggernaut possessions early in the 4th quarter and taking a 5-point lead, at the mid-way point of the quarter, the Hounds defense allowed a 7-minute, 92.5 yard TD drive by Milwaukee. Then in the final seconds, from the Juggernaut 41-yard-line, Nashville calls a 5 yard pass play instead of a 58-yard FG attempt or even a hail mary.

Having attained and maintained an 8-point lead from early in the second quarter through the half-way point of the 4th, thanks to much poor decision-making by the Juggs QB on 3rd downs, Nick Stacy finally decided to throw a couple balls down field later on in the 4th quarter for Milwaukee, and got a couple nice completions highlighting a 76 yard TD drive to cut the Fragile lead to 1. Then on the first third down of their next possession, The Mice decided not to block either of the Juggernaut DE's while trying to pass downfield, leading to a forced fumble & recovery by Milwaukee on the SOFPM 21. They ran it in from there and their defense held the Mice for the final 1:11.

After receiving a gift TD to end the first half with a 17-10 lead, the Jebs failed to score again until the final second of the 4th quarter with the FG they needed to send the game into overtime. Their CB Ken Ellis was charged with covering the Juggs' Greg Thett solo on 3rd downs, and simply couldn't handle the task, allowing several long completions to extend drives with chunks of yards for Milwaukee. The Juggernauts won the overtime coin toss, and the Jebs defense couldn't stop their drive which ended in a short TD pass by their gimpy rushing QB... and a PAT because GLB is retarded.

Djibouti Arms Dealing Doomsday Yodelers, Week 11: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1565605
In a rematch of last season's SLAP Championship, DADDY has yet to adjust their offensive gameplan, and was constantly sniffed-out by the Juggernaut defense, managing only a few big plays, but never reaching the end zone. Their defense managed two red zone takeaways in the 3rd quarter, but Milwaukee's offense was consistently moving the ball in the 2nd half and eventually broke a huge 91-yard run in the 4th quarter to set up the go-ahead TD with less than 2 minutes to go in the game. The Juggernaut defense gave up some yards, but DADDY needed more than a FG and turned the ball over on downs on their final drive.

Stewart Ballers, Week 12: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1565606
Stewart's defense gave up a lot of yards and 20 points in the first half, while their own offense didn't get on the board until kicking a FG as time expired for the first half. They made half time adjustments to their offense though (?) and found a hole in the Milwaukee defense which they exploited for two huge plays converting into TD's and tied the game early in the 4th. Apparently that was the signal to stop playing hard though, and their defense allowed a long drive capped by a short FG for the Juggs, and then their offense decided to go for it on 4th down from their own 24.5 yard line with 3:12 left on the clock... and didn't get it, giving the ball to the Juggernauts with a short field. Still, their defense didn't allow a TD and their offense had a chance to win it, but just could not catch the ball in coverage, turning it over on downs in Milwaukee territory to seal the game.

Hood forgot to do any Hood things like a MF'n boss, and got half their yards and only points from a punt FF&recovery + a fluke screen pass with 19 seconds left in the game.

Nordic Skulls, Week 15: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1565576
After taking a 21-6 lead into half time, the Skulls kicked a really lousy punt to give Milwaukee's offense great field position which they were able to score a TD from, and on the next Nordic drive, Jefferson Twilight felt the sting of Clothes Liner, fumbling the ball, and another Milwaukee LB, Sky King, picked the ball up out of a scrum and broke free for a 78.5 yard FRTD, shifting the morale momentum heavily in favor of the Juggernauts where it would stay for the rest of the game. Two more TD's and nearly a third would be scored by Milwaukee in the 4th quarter as the game got out of hand.

All of Alpine's points came in the second quarter during a heavy morale shift, but that was 28 points, which was more than enough for most teams to beat Milwaukee. However, Alpine must've received a congratulatory half time speech from their coach, cause they managed only one first down in the second half and couldn't get the ball away from the Juggs when it mattered late in the game. They allowed a 5 yard TE screen touchdown on 4th down with 3:37 left, and later the game-winning FG with 10 seconds left on the clock.

QB Holluh Faymer, C-Town MF'n Hood, Week 13: 21/37 for 215 yards, hurried 4 times, sacked 6 times for -26.5 yards.
