From all the post in Alpha I thought you guys were a buncha CPUs. Not much of a lively bunch.

Not to step on any toes if this an Alpha only thread. You guys are a tame bunch indeed.

I'm more focused on my teams communications, not as much on the league forum because it's usually just a bunch of trash talk.

I do have to say that I am proud of my team, the Florida Parishes Pelicans. We started out pretty rough in the beginning of the season, but after we figured out our identity we've pulled off three straight wins; including two victories over other top-8 teams.

What makes you think the Matchup scores have any relevance?

I'm looking forward to seeing that Blaze - Sea Dragons game myself.

The top two teams are obvious. You guys are stacked with talent. Mine (Illesheim Krauts) is good and will make the playoffs, but the Blaze exposed our lack of top-tier talent and rookie coaching. We got owned! We're learning quickly, however, and many of our key players have not yet boosted. We plan to make it competitive in the playoffs.

AF Medic - where are you at? We are a team made up of Army soldiers currently deployed to Balad, Iraq.

How right you are; we just clobbered a team that seemed better than us in the Matchup.

I'm an AF guy myself... over in Osan, South Korea doing Air Traffic Control. We have a Navy Air Traffic Controller on the Blaze too. Been through Balad a couple times... hope it's cooler there shooting wise than when I was there. I was up at Kirkuk in 05 & 06 for a couple 6 month stints.

What makes you think they don't?

The attacks have cooled off considerably. We came during the initial 'surge' when the mortar attacks were multiple times each day. Now the attacks are just several times a week - a little more when it's dusty out and the Apaches can't take off.

I was in Korea (Camp Humphreys) back in 2000 and visited Osan several times. That was back when I was single and it was basically a yearlong party! I had a lot of fun over there.

That's good to hear. Yeah, I was down at Humphries a few weeks ago. One thing I don't get, Army MWR pulls in some great shows. They had Saliva & Puddle of Mudd down in a helo hangar at Humphries. Osan has had some no name comics that blow butt chunks.

Take it easy over there.

Because they are calculated across your entire roster, and thus unless your backups are the same level as your starters, a better equipped (i.e. deeper) team has their "matchup" score lessened.

Currently back at Lackland AFB right now, but deploying back to Balad in Oct with an Army unit. going as an IA. not sure what unit or anything though, hell all I know is I get to go to some ground combat school in July, and my RIP states "Male only" *L* Not to happy about that part though. Last time I was there Oct 06 - Jan 07 I was the NCOIC of the AFTH. When do you guys rotate? If your still there we'll have to meet up
