1) Gold Coast Corsairs: What happens when you take the top two rushing offenses and the top two rushing defenses in a conference???? Well you would be getting this game When I saw this match up I got a little giddy and things started getting tight the pants region. Needless to say this will be a great follow up game to the Nigeria/Johannesburg game from last week. I think that Gold Coast will pull this one out It will be a good one. Close

2)Nigeria: Katanga has played some tough competition and so far has nothing to show for it. Yes they have some wins, but non against top conference teams. That definitely won't help in this game against the top team of the conference who are coming off a massive win that propelled them to this pedestal. They have a target on their back, so now we can see if Katanga can over come the pressure and hit the target. Close

3) Sierra Leone Magicians: They proved me wrong last week, and looking at the match ups, I think thye have a good shot of getting a streak going with a win over record superior team. Rwanda is tough, but I think Sierra Leone has the tools to end the Assassins Winning streak. This will be a good game even though it isn't the 1/2 seed. Close

4) Johannesburg Impala's: Although most of the games they lost were close ones ( less then a TD) A.C.T. has struggled when confronted with a solid opponent. Now they will have to play a Impala's team that are coming off a tough loss. They will be looking to get their winning streak going again, and I don't think The Orcas will be able to stop them. Close

5) Red Sea Wave: This is a game that includes both of the teams I included in the Sleepers in "Borsdt's Power Rankings" After last week The Red Sea gave me the confidence I need to start picking them in this spot. Sleepers are really just teams that have the potential to win, and I think that Red Sea is starting to hit it, and will get a win over a Ethiopia team that has had some close loses this season. It will be interesting to see which Borsdt's sleepers will hit their potential in this game. Close

6) Nairobi Night Hawks: This team is tougher then their record will tell you. They have had some bad loses, but they have also taken teams right down to the wire before losing it. I think Nairobi will finally get their first win in this game. Close

7) Scottish Sharks: Burundi has a big line and a good running game, but I don't think that will help them in this game against a shark team with a star LB and one of the top defenses in the league. If Burundi gets the right strategy and match ups they might be able to pull it out, but the sharks are quite a large mountain to climb over. Close

8) Kigali SilverBacks: There is only three Teams I think have any chance of stopping the Silverbacks and One of them they already beat. Unfortunately for the leopards they aren't the other two. The Silverbacks are a run away train right now, and I don't see even this good leopard team stopping them. One Sided

9) Kinshasa Rumblers: The Rumblers are too good for an unboosted team like the Nationals to beat. I wish I could predict an upset, I just can't see a 1-4 team beating them. Blow Out

10) Somalia Whales: I think in time the whales could have a chance to fight for the playoffs, but they need some improvement and effort to make it happen. I see good things if the coach decides to stick with the team and work hard to make it better. Right now they get a win to help their record against a team that hasn't even scored a point. One Sided

11) Band Of Brothers: This top 6 team against a team that hasn't even scored a point? There is no way BoB loses. Not until the Mushrooms make some serious changes. Blow Out

12) Cape Verde Headhunters: Cape Verde needs a win and I think they can get one here. Tijuana still only has an O line and you just can't win with just that. One sided.

13) Oklahoma Fire: They finally get a chance to win. After facing tough opponent after tough opponent they get a chance to get a win without needing an upset. Their offense still looks good, and maybe with this game they can get their Defense on track. Blow Out

14) Cape Town Shinobis: After Tough Loss they get a chance to put a W on the board for themselves. Blow Out

Gold Coast and Ghana is going to be a beastly game. I think Gold Coast may actually be a slight underdog in this one.

They you guys go. It's late so I hope I didn't have too many grammatical errors for you all.

Just to Give you all Fair warning I will be busy tomorrow also and I am delaying the release of "Borsdt's Power Rankings" till Monday, but I will include a section on this years possible bubble teams and maybe one or two other sections. I will also tell you what I have planned for the mid season issue.

Yeah, the Gold Coast Corsairs are probably the best team in the Elephant conference right now. I'm hoping we can just keep it close like Borsdt predicts, and maybe learn something about the match up that might come in handy during the playoffs (should we make it).

I'll do Togo vs Valhalls

both teams havve strong rush defenses and just ok pass defense, but togo gives up more passing yards. I would say this is a close one but Valhalla by 3.

My money is with the Marvins as well - we were very very close against them and played a weaker marvins side than they have now - Marvins by a TD (sorry Borsdt!)

I still hate the fact we lost to Gold Coast by 2 points and a blown goal line stand. They are tough, but so is Ghana.

It's o k if you pick Starvin Marvins, They are a good team. It's about the same thing as me picking Gold Coast over Ghana. The game can go either way, but this is the team you think will win. Like every underdog I predict I will just have to prove you wrong
