1) It has to be Canton. sure, the holidays tripped them up, where as D9 was lucky enough that woodsy had a little free time. On O, as I said, I just caught the rolls when I needed them. These guys are just a great PL team and the Holidays, a pick 6 and KO return for a TD doesn't change that, but I am thankful for the perfect storm.
2) Since I've already said fuck the records, I may as well continue that trend. I believe d9 owns this spot. Sure, it may have been the perfect storm, but we cut the giant off at the knees all the same. That's worth something. All ssn long I preached that I believed our offensive diversity and D were what helped make up for a lack of flat out OMG studs. Just a workman like team that is able to do the little things. That allowed us to throw not a single screen in that game, freeing us to toss a barrage of screens in the Gold game not seen by WWR since, well, since their last game
3) what can I say about WWR that I haven't already. So, I won't repeat the same theme. They've done a damn good job this ssn. Everyone knows what's coming, but few have been able to do much about it. If their was a coach of the year award, I'd give it to Randey. The D has been tough all ssn and it flat out carried them when they needed it most. If not for that, we'd be talking about the Preds in this slot.
4) speaking of TAP, they no doubt deserve this spot. For 4 quarters, they went toe to toe with the brute strength of the Rhinos and almost knocked them out. In the end, the Rhino was just a bit too powerful for the lion to take down, but, going into the 4th, they had to scare the piss out of any of them watching the pbp without knowing the score.
5) Seemingly a tough call, but I don't think it really is SoA nearly knocked off TAP, losing a heart breaker. Could have they fared better against the WWR? I honestly don't know, but I do know that they at least deserve the #5 spot.
Yes, I realize that there is still one game to play. However, regardless of the outcome, nothing is going to happen to change my mind on the top 5. You can most certainly disagree, but these are my rankings and it's what I believe.
