After a long season the playoffs are finally here. In Lion, the season has revolved around Canton and D9 since day one. Sure Philly tried to sneak their way into the conversation but at the end of it all those 2 teams will most certainly be the ones playing in the Conference Title game.
Over in Elephant, the Rhinos survived the season undefeated but there isn't a team that has decimated every opponent like Canton has. WWR, SoA, TAP and the Texans will be fighting to see who makes it to the title game in this division.
One thing is for certain though. Canton is the lead dog in this race and it's going to be hard to stop them from claiming the Gold this season.
On to the first round match-ups.
LION
Canton (1) vs Zambezi (8)
A short stop on Canton's path of destruction.
D9 (2) vs Somalia (7)
D9 should easily coast through this game.
San Fran (3) vs Philly (6)
This should be a great game and the winner gets the "easier" obstacle to overcome in the second round. After watching the Demons for 2 seasons I have to say that I can't see them losing twice in a season to Philly.
Lincoln (4) vs CWE (5)
Another great match-up in store here. Both teams have had great seasons but I think CWEs experience in APL will pay off for them in the first round. Besides, who doesn't want to see another game between the Demons and CWE.
ELEPHANT
WWR (1) vs A7 (8)
Like Lion, the top 2 seeds will coast through the first round.
SoA (2) vs RMT (7)
See above.
TAP (3) vs Warriors (6)
TAP was handed 3 losses this season and the Warriors were the one loss that boggled me. This time around I see TAP avenging that loss by a large margin.
Texans (4) vs ICB (5)
I haven't had the privilege of seeing the Texans look this good since I arrived in APL a few short seasons ago. They've got the hot hand right now and I can't pick against them...yet.
