anyone know the penalty of playing a player out of position?

e.g.
I have a HB that is inactive.
if I put my FB in instead of him at HB plays, what penalty does he suffer on speed, strength etc.

Is this the same penalty on all positions?

A FB @ HB isn't too bad. There is logic with how similar the positions are, and they're not all the same. For example, a HB does better at QB than a WR does. A TE does better at WR than a FB, etc.

The exact penalties are not known.

It isn't a known factor, it is different for every position, and it isn't a known factor as to which positions get less of a penalty where, but one can only assume a HB playing FB would not be a very big penalty.

thanks

so going TE/WR or WR/TE would not be a big penalty?

Next season may mean TEs at WR the way the sim is looking!

TE/WR and vice versa isn't huge.

There used to be a lot of forum posts figuring out how big the OOP penalties were. Basically, it's pretty intuitive.
