I can give a ton more examples, but this has been happening for a long time.

The MLB just stops when the ball is in the air. Other times I've posted, the response is basically he tries to make a play on the ball. This is a very obvious example...what play is he trying to make? You don't go for the ball when you're that far away. He should be sprinting to the HB.

Another speed/agility issue. Then the MLB tries to get the angle.

to me, looks like middle linebacker is dropping into an under zone, and just as he starts to settle in the quarterback throws, so there is a momentary hesitation as he works on changing directions. I'm thinking not likely a bug

Seems like a bug imo.

Definitely strange if he was indeed set to m2m on the HB.

What were his individual tactics as far as his aggression and distance slider?

Also, we'll need more examples of this to figure it out.

He is -95 distance and semi-aggressive. Examples forth-coming, but this is happening a LOT in PW this year.

Let me know if you want more. There are a lot more where the defender is closer to the receiver and stops, but I thought there could be a good case made that they were just failing the cut to make a play on the ball. Let me know if you'd like examples of those, if they can help diagnose/fix the problem.

Here's the thing, this is likely a low vision issue. He's obviously a low level and slow-ish. He doesn't move towards the HB though, just parallel. That indicates a vision issue to me, but the other side of that coin is why the MLB begins to move parallel at all if he can't see the HB? You would think that he wouldn't even see the HB at all.

So, what I'm thinking is that the initial movement is likely just a function of the DAI setting for him and that's what he's supposed to do. The reason he doesn't close is low vision. Replays of higher level LB's either doing the same or not would prove or disprove my theory.

As it is, it's ambiguous enough that I think QA should hash it out.

Yeah I've noticed a lot of issues where defenders seem to slow down when covering the HB in the flats out of shotgun

Looks to me like MLB is taking some intercept route to try and stay downfield from the HB (more or less same angle as if HB were ball carrier)... when ball is thrown he adjusts angle to try and go direct to HB, but due to his low level he has to drop speed dramatically to make the adjustment, and by time he does the HB has caught the ball and is off to the races, so MLB then reverts back to more or less the same "intercept the ball carrier" path as he was on prior to the throw.

Which, TBH, is working as intended as best I can tell. I don't think this is a bug.

I'd like to see two things before I rule this either way.

Can we get both the MLB's coverage settings (aggressive, semi...) and vision, speed, and agility numbers?
