I just had a crazy idea. Next season, we could have a fantasy league based on actual players in pee wee gold. I don't know if that could be set up, but that would be cool.

I don't have that kind of technology knowledge or time. Somebody else would have to do it, but it would be fun.

LE might be able to make a spreadsheet and we can take turns drafting them.

Thunder and I thought of this many seasons ago. Only problem is with games being played every 2 days its tough on the person running it. Especially if teams are making roster changes. They had a guy in GLB created a script for it but it was kind of lame IMO.

You would almost have to not have any roster changes or adds/drops (would get messy anyway with teams trying to pick up players who are playing CPU opponents). If you have something like 8 or 10 guys willing to play, you can just do something like having 2 QB's (1 east, 1 west). That way other than the crossover game, things will even out over the long season.

Plus that way, it would be easier to do the scoring (or you could just do it rotisserie style with team stats), and you could just update the scoring every 4 games or so (since you're not making changes, it doesn't really matter until the end of the season anyway).

I thought you could just pick up players at the beginning of the season and you would be stuck with them. Week 1 would be weird, but other than that, it would be ok.

Would be fun, but then you couldn't have ideal builds, but instead build players to what the real life person's strength's and weaknesses are. Plus someone would need to grade all of those so people don't over kill their stats. Great idea, but not easy to implement.

Actually, the more I think about it, I believe having the draft AFTER week 1 would be best. Then each team has a roster like I said, 1 QB west, 1 QB east, 2 RB West, 2 RB East, etc. Then everyone has an identical schedule for fairness. Plus, if one side has 3 CPU teams and the other has 1, then you can't load up on one side of the league, everybody's roster will have the same amount of CPU opponents (unless somebody quits midseason, but there's not much we can do about that).

Plus, that actual game will give you an idea of who may be good or not, and how they'll be used. Preseason means absolutely nothing but CPU AI's for a lot of teams who are experienced enough not to have to test anything.

It was something I was still toying with last season. I built a program for the stats. This was what I had in mind

12 team league head to head
Each team drafts the following:
West 2 Qbs, East 2 QBs = 4
West 2 Rbs, East 2 Rbs = 4
West 1 Fb, East 1 Fb = 2
West 3 Wrs, East 3 Wrs = 6
West 2 TEs, East 2 TEs = 4
-------------------------------------------------
West 2 DTs, East 2 Dts =4
West 2 DEs, East 2 DEs = 4
West 3 Lbs, East 3 Lbs = 4
West 2 Cbs, East 2 Cbs = 4
West 1 FS, East 1 FS =2
West 1 SS, East 1 SS =2
-------------------------------------------------
West 1 K, East 1 K = 2

This would be your team for the entire season. You then start the following before gametime.
1 QB
2 RBs
1 FB
1 TE
3 Wrs
1 Flex (Any RB, FB, TE, WR)
1 DT
1 DE
3 LBs
2 CBs
1 FS
1 SS
1 K

----------------------------------------------------------------
Scoring would be:
6 pts any TD
Passing: 1 pt every 25 yds passing, 1 point every 10 yds rushing

Rushing/Receiving: 1 pt for every 10 yds rushing, 1 pt every reception, 1 pt every 10 yds rec

Defense: 1 pt every tackle, interception, sack, hurry, pass deflection and forced fumble.

Kicker: 2 pts every fgm, 1 pt for every xtra point, 1 pt for tackles
------------------------------------------------------------------------

Game stats are pulled from GAMELOG. (EX: http://goallineblitz.com/game/player_game_log.pl?player_id=2198520&season=18&stat_type=raw)

Setting up the player imports takes time so teams would have to drafted their team by Preseason game 2. They will send in a list of player links for their team. Same players may be used for multiple teams.
Once Teams have picked, a full team by team roster will be set up and shown.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
13 game regular season
Week 14, playoffs round 1, 6 teams advance, Seeds 1 and 2 receive a first round bye. Seeds 3 plays 6 and 4 plays 5.
Week 15, Seed 1 plays winner of 4-5 seed, Seed 2 plays winner of 3-6 seed
Week 16 Championship game

Anyways this is what I had in mind. It would require a lot of time on my part so I wouldnt be able to run my team at all and was going to wait until I just ended up in silver or didnt have any returning agents, whichever came first.

You could just do Team Defense like they do in most Fantasy Football leagues where you jus accumulate points based on team stats, and would eliminate a lot of minor stats from the Defensive side of the ball for each individual player.

Team defense is lazy and boring to be honest. I actually thought about quitting pee wee to run this because I do enjoy FF more so than pee wee dot ball. Ive been playing since season 1 and pee wee since season 7 so its like playing the same madden game over and over again.

Also stat pulling form game log for the program works better than from the game itself, it's easier and quicker.

I know, but I think individual defensive players are very random game by game. I think we should do team defense with points for points against and sacks, INTs, and even hurries.

Roster could be:

2 QBs
2 HBs
2 WRs
1 K
1 D

2-4 on the Bench that would count as "sleeper picks" and your stuck with the roster for the entire season.
