From now on these will be released at 7 PM the day after the games, but I won't be home tonight so I figured I'd post them now because I've gotten enough responses already.
Thanks to everyone[gretho, helmetcreator, DarkRogue] for the blurbs as well.[Lion only had one owner turn in a blurb and it was for the top 5, so I did a little write up for the others, but this is enough work as is so that's a one time exclusive. All of the Elephant write ups were done by gretho and DarkRogue]
The number in () is the average ranking from all the submitted rankings.
Lion
1. Zanzibar Face-Eaters(1.3) 4-0
Easily the best running game in Africa, and a very well balanced team too.
2. Rwanda HellFish(1.6) 4-0
This is a very balanced team on both sides of the ball, and one that will tough for any team.
3. Tanzanian Morning Wood(3) 4-0
One of 3 undefeated teams in Lion, the Wood average nearly 40 points per game.
4. Zimbabwe Tigers(3.5) 3-1
Only loss was to the Morning Wood, and they have really destroyed two teams this season by a score of 173-0.
5. Togo Outlaws(5.5) 2-2
After back to back losses, the Outlaws were able to escape the Devils with a W.
6. Pretoria Pigs(5.7) 3-1
After an opening day loss to the Morning Wood, the Pigs have won three straight, and shut out the last two teams.
7. Ethiopia Devils(6.3) 2-2
At 2-2 the Devils are better then they look on paper. Their two losses could have easily been the other way around.
8. Niger Hitmen(7.3) 3-1
After a loss to the HellFish and a 3 point victory against the Bushmen, the Hitmen were able to get back on track against the Bulls.
9. Congo Choir Boys(7.5) 2-2
A team that could easily be 3-1, the Choir Boys were dismantled by the Face-Eaters in last week's match-up.
10. Botswana Bushmen(9) 2-2
One of 10 teams in Lion with a record of .500 or better, the Bushmen's 2 losses have both come by a field goal. Look for this team to be a surprise down the stretch.
11. Impending Doom(10) 1-3
After an opening week victory, the Doom have struggled to 3 straight losses in which the offense has averaged 6 points per game.
12. Ivory Coast Wildcats(11) 1-3
Coming off back to back losses to the top teams in Lion, the Wildcats look to rebound against the Choir Boys.
13. Pretoria Pittbulls(12) 1-3
With their only victory coming against the Bulls, the Pittbulls could be in for a long season.
14t. Djibouti Jackals(14) 0-4
The offense has scored one TD thus far, but the defense has been suprisingly strong giving up 21 points per game.
14t. Zimbabwe Bulls(14) 0-4
Have only scored 6 points the entire season. This week's match up with the Jackals will finally put a W into one of these teams' record books; however, with these offenses we might see the first 0-0 game for Africa.
14t. Texas Armadillos(14) 0-4
Perhaps still recovering from confusion, this American named team continues to struggle in Africa.

Elephant
1. The Last Gunfighters of Texas(1) 4-0
The unanimous number one team, led by maybe the best QB in the conference in Mark Brady, the Gunfighters are off to a 4-0 start. Brady isn't their only offensive threat as RB Mookie Charles is 2nd in the conference in rushing yards. The only question is who will stop them?
2. Cleveland Bombers(2.75) 3-1
Coming off a tough win against the Dragons and barely losing to the Gunfighters, this is a real solid team.
3. Casablanca Golden Eagles(3) 3-1
They get the nod over the Cripplers because the Cripplers have yet to beat one of the top tier teams.
4. Congo Cripplers(3.6) 4-0
The Cripplers are off to a 4-0 start but have had a very easy schedule so far. We will find out very soon just how good they are as 3 of their next 4 games are against top rated teams.
5. Carthage Mercenaries(4.3) 3-1
Solid team with it's only loss against the Eagles. The road doesn't get any easier with their next game being against the early favorite Gunfighters.
6. Mozambique Terror Squad(5) 2-2
Having lost to 2 of the best teams in the league. Mozambique is another team at .500 who could be a threat come playoff time. Mozambique's defense strikes terror in any OC's mind.
7. Cairo Mummy Warriors(6.25) 3-1
Another team that has had a easy first 4 games. Time will tell if they will be a playoff team. TD Goals is 3rd in the league in rushing.
8. Egypt Dragons(6.6) 2-2
The team everyone loves to hate. ED has played arguably the hardest schedule so far. Losing to both Texas and Cleveland( hey isn't this Africa?). Egypt has got to find a way to win the close games or they will watch their championship hopes disappear.
9. Algeria Dune Hoppers(8.2) 2-2
Good Passing game but can they beat a playoff caliber team?
10. Luxor Pharaoh Kings(9) 2-2
With their two wins coming from bottom-feeders in the conference they have yet to prove their mettle.
11. Gunston Drunks(9.2) 2-2
QB Skip Dawson has 645 yards for the season but leads the league in INT's. If they can get his turnover problem solved they might have a chance.
12. Ethiopia Hungry Hungry Hippos(10.8) 1-3
None of their losses have even been close and with their roster I can't see them being a playoff team.
13. Freetown Jayhawks(11.8) 1-3
An opening day win but three straight losses and lack of a passing game have seriously hurt any playoff hopes they may have had.
14. Madagascar Grand JagerMenze(13.2) 0-4
The best of the winless teams. Holding Casablanca to 10 points might give them the momentum to get thier first win against Ethiopia.
15. Nigerian Nightmares(14) 0-4
Yikes 0-4. Week 13 may be their only chance for a win.
16. P-town Ballaz
With the worst Defense in the conference and an offense that has struggled to score this team may be lucky if they win a game all year.
