wow.
I've been saying that this needed to happen forever though. My enjoyment of the game plummeted once the DPC was put into place due to the amount of time needed to run an effective D, made even worse as offenses were given more to balance against the custom plays.
this will ultimately be a great thing for the game, as its much easier to balance the sim within a set box of variables.

I should clarify that my issues with this are that inevitably, the plays created for the library will be geared toward higher levels. We will experience 3-5 seasons of "Holy shit this blows" followed by 1-2 seasons of "Please help the Peewee teams" plea. Followed by 2-4 seasons of "we're working to address the deficiencies of peewee builds and the DP Library". My prediction is that this change will nerf peewee for 6-10 seasons. Just my opinion. The problem with not having a play creator is that it gives an unfair advantage to the offense. At some point (maybe not the first or second season, but at some point), OC's will find the exploits and be able to run up the scores (ie. Rushing QB's). I agree with PING72. This will probably be the end for me.

Passing already is way too overpowered at the PW level. Add to it only being able to use crappy plays and it will be unstoppable and boring. Every team will just pass every down now, instead of just 85% of the time...how boring will that be.

Wow unbelievable.....
I'm shocked. This is what made the game so complicated and challenging.
You take the DPC away, and it's no different than madden with limited playbook.
This is probably the worst move ever in my opinion, worse than coaching.
Hell I rather have coaching in PW than this.
GLB might not have been realistic but it was closest thing to chess on
football field.

So here's another question:
How in the hell are you going to know who's supposed to cover who when looking at a basic defensive play? So they're going to create this huge library of plays that random people created and without us being able to see assignments, we're going to have to figure out what works? So we'll be stuck with either using the existing crappy plays that use zones all over the place (we all know how well zones work in peewee) or use some new "man coverage" plays that they decide are good and have to hope that the assignments make sense?
Next issue. Won't this mean that people go back to cookie cutter builds? I would think we'll need to conform our builds tyo whatever plays they decide to implement. I mean what good is a Strength LB in coverage? Basically, we'll be creating players to fit the build required for existing plays, rather than being able to adjust the plays to fit the type of roster we want to build.
They going to add a some extra custom slots to the depth chart to allow some extra flexibility in order to prevent us from having to select a limited number of plays that work with our builds?
Just so many reasons this sucks big sweaty salty balls.

I was wondering about the m2m coverage and progressions as well. How are they going to visually show you a 3 or 4 person progression?
And I think, yes, this will make very cookie cutter builds b/c face it...most of the new plays will suck at the PW level and the decent ones will be similar. So everyone's players will fit those roles.
I'm not very happy.

This is crazy... be like NFL banning overload blitzing.
Custom DPC is a MUST in Pee Wee ... placement is extremely important.

Been meaning to clean out Goats Defenses , this gave me reason to finally do it- collaboration between DuPrae79 and me.. 149 Defenses DELETED.
Below are the inputs we used for Pro Set in Season 17 Championship game.. you think Bort and company will be able to design defenses to cover these scenarios? NO WAY Those just the inputs.. many of the the below inputs had multiple defenses so teams couldn't find single coverage against us.
PSet Passer LONG TEc 3rd/4th down
PSet PasserLong TE blk 3rd/4th down
PSet Passer LONG -any 3rd/4th down
Pset passTEc -2ndlong
PSet pass TEb - 2ndlong
PSet pass - 2nd long
Pset pass TEc short
PSet pass TEb short
Pro Set Passer TE Blocker
PSet Passer TE combo
ProSet Passer
PSet ComboQB Te bocke
ProSet ComboQB long 3rd/4th down
ProSet ComboQB
ProSet QB any TE blocker LONG 3rd/4th down
