I average 16 attempts per game and that is second least in the league. I remember when 16 attempts would have put me in the top 5 (season 12). I think this is a passing league now because the middle teams for pass attempts average 26, which would have been top of the league season 12 or earlier.

people should not do stuff that works on offense.

It's sad that the best offenses here in Gold seem to be those who run it on 3rd/4th & short, but pass it in every other situation.

Change with the times. I ran with ease in Silver. Picking up 2-3 yards on 1st and 2nd does little good round here. All or nothin pass game imo.

Short Bus season 15

Yeah that pretty much sums it up, pass any down besides short yardage and run a slam.

I disagree. Because Pee-Wee dots are very immature, it's hard to build them so they do well against the pass. You can build an antu-run defense that is rock solid against the run, but I doubt anyone could build an anti-pass defense that is good enough to shut down a pure passing team.

Some of the many reasons...
Zones are next to useless in Pee-Wee. Vision isn't high enough to let anyone in a zone react quick enough for solid coverage.
Pump-Fake is very over powered, forcing most of the secondary to sacrifice speed/agility for a higher vision.
The low level bonus to passing means you can focus on skills other than throwing and catch and still have a great passing team.

I would prefer a balanced offense where a pure passing team and a pure rushing team won't be a good as a fairly balanced team. It would only take 2 things to do this...

#1 Nerf Pump-Fake at the lower levels. This is simply way over powered at our level.
#2 Make Catching & Throwing a little more important at the lower levels, so players with very low Catching are not making over 75% of their catches and rushing QB's are not passing nearly as well as normal QB's.

If I remember correctly wasn't there an outcry to help out the passing game at lower levels a few seasons back. I remember when the receiver couldn't catch a cold in Pee Wee.

Things seem more balanced this season than they were last with the coverage changes.

Point noted. However , http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=1357154 FG Shut down Bleeds in the Conf Finals with TOP Ownage and keeping him to a 35% completion ratio when he was on the field. Granted Passing is harder to stop than the run, but as peewee offense evolves so will the DC's.

I agree, but they took it TOO far, now they need to scale it back a bit, but not to the level it once was.

I think the sim is perfect for the most part. I mean why nerf passing? I agree to nerf Pump fake but passing in general is where it should be. In real football the game is that of a chess match. You have to guess what the offense is going to do. Almost all teams have a passing game just some do it better than others and some rush better than others. Usually depends on personal. The problem isn't that offenses are over powered, it's just that most DCs are stuck in a 12 season repetition of stopping the run. 90% plus are run stop first. Why else does all of gold have Strength D-line? If teams defenses would be more pass focused the passing percentages might not be as great. I strongly believe since the passing buff the offensive balance is right where it should be ........ minus the pump fake.

It's a lot easier to stop passing when level 13 or 14s are playing each other than level 2s or 3s.

It's been the same the past few seasons: passing is crazy good the first handful of games, and then gets progressively worse. Once CB's get their vision/agility in order, and safeties can stop the run w/o blitzing, it's a completely different game.

That's one of the tougher aspects of PeeWee...you have to stay on top of things, the playoffs are completely different than the beginning of the season. A late season AI can get crushed early in the season and vice versa.
