This forum sees enough action, and I've already seen some FFL threads. Let's have a who do I start thread. Hopefully we can get a sticky or at least bump it to stay up top. I'll go first.

I need a flex WR and a flex RB in week one. Choices are below. Thanks.

-Juice

It is a PPR league. I need a flex WR to play.

Malcom Floyd @ Kansas City
Santana Moss against Dallas
Danny Amendola against Arizona*

* It is a return yardage legue, so Amendola will get points for punt and kick returns.

I’m also trying to decide on my flex RB. Choices are below with the same return yardage criteria.

CJ Spiller against Miami
Ricky Williams @ Buffalo
Shonn Greene against Baltimore

Right now I’m leaning towards Spiller which is odd because Greene was my keeper and is very highly ranked. I just like Spiller’s explosiveness and his matchup, especially if Fred Jackson doesn’t play. Ricky Williams wouldn’t be a bad play either. My other starting RB’s are Matt Forte and LeSean McCoy.

I hate choosing that last spot in ur roster of who to start, i always wind up making the wrong decision as the guy on my bench goes off for a monster game and the guy i started sucks it up. I like watching Fantasy Football show on ESPN2 i believe on Sunday mornings from 10-12. They rank all the fantasy players at each position and give you their insight on sleepers and such. I mean no one is right all of the time, but these guys are the experts and do it for a reason. Wouldn't be a bad idea to check out...i think they even post their rankings on ESPN.com that morning so you dont have to watch the whole show to see where everyone falls.

Anyway i would choose Malcolm Floyd @ KC considering Floyd is the #1 WR now for SD and they are a pass heavy team against a bad team. Then I would deff not go with Ricky Williams hes over the hump and not gonna get you monster points. I think youd be good with either CJ or Shonn either pick is a good choice.

Heres my dilemma for week 1 - need to start 3 WR's and im obv starting Ochocinco and DeSean Jackson, but should i start Pierre Garcon @ Houston or Donald Driver @ Philly?

I would go wth.

Floyd and Spiller.

McCoy against Green Bay is a tough draw, not to mention that Mike Bell is there to steal away short yardage TD's. I wouldn't take him out though he could do some damage via the screen pass.

Some tough draws right out of the gate. Good Luck

I like Garcon. Indy throws it all over the place. Driver will get some catches since Rodgers (my QB) throws it a ton, but he won't be a main focus. I think Garcon will get 7+ targets at least.

I usually won't ask other people these questions, but this is for a money league between the guys so it's kind of a big deal...haha.

Few, kind of stupid, questions I have:

Flacco (BAL) at Jets
or
Anderson (ARI) at Rams

I'm a Jets fan and know most than the normal NFL fan of how good our defense really is. I have a feeling that it will be a ground game. I recently picked up Derek Anderson (like a lot of the FF world) and he has an easy Week 1 matchup at STL.

Revis is going to shut down Anquan.
Cromartie is going to shut down Mason.

Who should I start?

I feel that Flacco should be the "no, duh-start me" option...but I don't know...

Moss against the Cowboys. (as Moss seems to have his best games against the Cowboys)
R Williams vs. Bills being a conference/division game and I do not know who the hell the Dolphins are planning to pass to.

Baltimore just picked up Houshmandzadeh. . . . Go with Flacco!

I'd go Williams against the Bills. If he doesn't produce against them, you can probably not start him again all season. lol. Seriously though, if he's going to be more involved this year, I'd have to think a game against Buffalo would be as good a place as any to have it start. It's obviously a timeshare with Brown, but this should be a good game to see how it shakes out in terms of touches each.

I've considered the addition of Housh...but I'm not sold on his arrival.

Anderson is the starter for you. He's got an easy matchup in a pass heavy offense. He'll be throwing the ball to Fitzgerald, Breaston, Doucet, and Hightower (like 70 receptions last year I think). Bank on him making at least 30-35 throws and probably 2-3 TD's minimum.

Why would you bench your stud like flacco? I never do that...always stick with your top notch guys, especially not for an unproven anderson

This is what I always do.

BUT...what makes Flacco a stud.

I could understand if he was Brees or Manning, but he's not.

And I don't hate on Flacco at all...I think he's going to have a great season and even career.

In the long run, I think I'll start with Flacco regardless...can't be disappointed if he gets out performed by Anderson. I would be if it were the other way around/I start Anderson.

Thanks for knocking some sense into me guys...I think I'm ready for another FF season...had to shake the nerves out. .

Hmmm, let's think about this for a second. I'll ask a trivia question. What do Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, and David Garrard have in common?

Give up? All of them scored more fantasy points than Joe Flacco last season. Yes, that David Garrard. I pulled my main league QB rankings from last season. Garrard was 15th and Flacco 16th for QB's. Flacco is hardly a stud. Anderson isn't hat far removed from the great season he had when Cleveland had a line and pass catchers. Guess what -- he has both in Arizona. On top of that, he has an outstanding matchup, but I digress. Let's play more trivia.

Let's go multiple choice. Which team was the NFL's best defense in 2009 against the pass, the rush, and overall defense?

a) New York Jets
b) New York Jets
c) New York Jets
d) New York Jets

I think you see where I'm going. The Jets gave up a mere 153 ypg last season to be the #1 ranked pass defense. The Rams? They only gave up 235 ypg while surrendering 22 TD's (compared to 8 for the Jets).

Could I be wrong and could Flacco go for 300 and 3 scores? Absolutely. Is it probable, not really. If it were a rookie QB (say Bradford), I'd be right with you. Anderson has put up numbers before, and if the preseason is an indicator, he'll be fine this season.

I just reread this, and I sound like a smartass -- not my intent. I'm just incredibly tired and hopped up on caffeine right now. I'm too lazy to retype it politely, so my apologies. Eslap me or something (but start Anderson).

You forgot to mention the fact of how ridiculous the Ravens WR's improved...

Non PPR league so regular fantasy scoring.

Having some difficulty deciding who to start at my flex this weekend.

Knowshon Moreno vs Jacksonville

Or

Lee Evans vs Miami

My gut is saying Evans with Gailey running the O there and with Moreno's hamstring in question. Your thoughts?
