this is all off the top of my head so please don't explode on me, just for fun!
To me it is interesting that 2 of the teams, FG and CSG, both won 30 regular season gold games in the last 2 seasons. Cascade won 15 games twice, and The Gamecocks went 16-0 and 14-2, i believe. This is the most wins in the last 2 seasons of any gold teams.
The other 2 teams are new to gold this season. While I don't think any of the coaches or owners are "new", that is still pretty impressive.
Cascade(15th) and the Gamecocks(11th) rank low for rushing yards in Gold, but the Panthers and the Mayhem aren't on LE's title list, so who knows, maybe there's a small difference that could play out between these teams.
Peewee Project Mayhem led the league in all categories of passing. This looks like a tremendous advantage for them, but the passing stats of all the top east teams looks pretty good.
I don't like to go off regular season stats alone, but it will be interesting to see. Was it the
greatest passing attack or a good one playing against some soft passing defenses. Only time will tell. I believe the Gamecocks are just as capable of throwing the ball with PPM. I might be biased but i also believe the surly Goats can throw the ball ok. Back to back Air Attacks should atleast get the Panthers thinking about it.
I think The Gamecocks and Panthers are one man rosters, mostly while the goats and ppm are multi agent teams.as in many agents, not a team of multi's, settle down.
Roster wise things look pretty even. All of the remaining teams have fully boosted, except the goats who have a couple level 12 loafers. No idea on custom and i am way too lazy to look. These teams should all match up fairly even.
Defensively what can you say? I don't know many of these guys but there is alot of quality here, for dc's. Mr Williford made the panthers strong when it counted, upset some teams along the way. Perma stonEDtdB is a better dc than public opinion realizes because of his charming personality getting in the way.PPM doesn't need shut outs, they just need to stop a few drives and try and score on every drive. It's been working so far. Jkid2 is a veteran and should have the gamecocks in battlemode. The goats have a tandem of Dc's and are running on the mccollums/dduprae79 program.
