I think this could be pretty f'ing sweet if done correctly. Blah Blah no threads linking other threads

I made this more just to gauge how actual WL members would feel about this rather than gathering support. SO NO TY

I definitely need help with how this would work also, I haven't really thought too much about it. Just thought it would be sweet to see a bunch of dots who would never in hell be on the same team, teaming up and going head to head with the other conference.

Then I'd say just make it a Basic AI game. Would make things 100% build based.

Or turn the AI duties over to 100% lolGMs. Laughs could be had by all.

If it was going to be a poll mechanism, I'd make it WL only.
However, I'd say just fix 55 positions and take the top ranked spots for those in league via the mvp formula, and presto.
Then run the whole thing with basic AI.

Implementation-wise it's pretty heavy lifting. I think Bort would have to do some weird moving and shaking to get it to work out. Simplest would probably be to copy the players over into "AllStar_Player" copies, and place those on specific set-aside teams for the all-stars, and have a d41 scrim set (it REALLY could be done d41, right? even if you retire the copy could still play I'd hope)

But, that's probably a lot of work and I'd say a feature that wouldn't be likely to show up for a while, and by a while I mean 5+ seasons at least.

Posting about locked threads is not allowed.

Would be a nice incentive to build good players and play at the top level (WL), rather than beating up newbs in the pros or lower.

Yeah it really wouldn't work in other leagues. Not to mention Day 40 is always an off day for the WL.

Basic AI is probably a better idea
