I just noticed that 20 of the teams in gold have either 1 win or less or 1 loss or less. Why do you guys think the league is so extreme heavy this season? Do you think it will even out?

IMO, dots built heavy for one attribute versus dots built with balance. In other words, builds that don't match the SIM right now versus builds that do. TBH, the SIM seems to be favoring limited play calling on offense and overpowered safeties on defense. I don't now if it'll balance out or not by the season's end. We'll have to see. Kudos to the OC's/DC's that have it figured out right now. I hope the rest of us (DSBM included) get it figured out. I know I'm tired of watching replays and calling what appears to be the correct plays only to see it blow up.

In my case I think it's blind luck because I sure as hell have no clue what I'm doing.

A lot of it is that it's early still, like FG, SB, Maine, and crackertown haven't really played each other. Not to diss any other team, but imo those are the teams to beat out east. It is just a matter of schedules, and it will be interesting to see how things turn out say week 15 or so, but it's pretty freaking early now. Sacramento is looking good, as is Dit, but again you gotta play some of those top teams and win, not the softies or mid-pack teams.
Almost all the new teams are really struggling, save FT and Maine, whose coordinators/owners have a lot of respect and experience.

I think a lot of it just happens to be the schedule so far this season.
I also think there are very clear tiers of teams this season.

Thanks, I think the big 3 in the east are FG, SBWL, and crackertown. We did get a nice win against the crackertown in the PW cup but it could have really gone either way, and I just think they have more experience than we do. Also don't forget about the DI. Another great team that only had a rough start because of the tough schedule.
Also, I don't think it's a coincidence that teams like SBWL, Goats, FG, and 85' Bears continue to have success every season despite major changes in the sim. It's really easy to blame it all on the sim when things don't go your way but if that's really the case we wouldn't be having consistent winners like LE, Dead.ED, and mccollums. Adaptability is part of the game and if you can't deal with it, it's time to pack your stuff and move on.

It makes the world of difference. I'm too lazy to create multiple defenses but ideally the top teams have DAI's for every scenario for each formation (Ex: I Form, Passing QB, Blocking TE, Power HB - custom D to stop run up the middle, single coverage D on the TE, HB, and FB and double up on WR1 and WR2 as a primary option) Build 50 of those situational defenses and you'll do well.

I got bored after ten minutes of scouting. I think GLB is more fun without tagging.

Only 50? I just had to look at FT's defense. I have 30 just for the SI formation, lol. And that's only what is currently in my AI and doesn't count the plethora of plays I have created but don't use regularly.
I wish I was like the good coordinators who can run 1 defense all game and shut everything down

Man.. I don't want to get started on tagging and inputs.. it's no fun when you see a hole in your defense and it takes you 5-10 minutes to find the D and the matching input. lol
I started from scratch this season.. deleted everything - but it was worth it to get rid of the clutter. I even dumbed down my inputs so it wouldn't take so long. I can't wait for the game to be out of beta so we don't have to rebuild Ds every season to match the sim changes.
