The Fab 4
1(1) Sun City Undertakers (5-0) - SCU has looked great and is making me look good with putting them in as the pre-season #1. They stopped Decatur's win streak with an impressive 46-0 win and are pretty much on their way to a 16-0 season unless the Demons or KC can beat them later in the season.
2 (3) San Francisco Demons (5-0) - Finally played a quality opponent in KC this week and won in convincing fashion 43-13. They are in the tough part of their schedule right now and need to sweep through the next 4 games to keep up with SCU.
3 (2) Decatur Staleys (4-1) - no shame in losing to SCU but I was a bit surprised at the final score - DC bumps down a spot and has 2 cupcake games before they have to travel to SF and play their old rivals the Demons.
4 (4) Quad City Quarantine (4-1) - QCQ played SCU tough losing 34-9 and have pretty much not been challenged in their 4 victories. Will be interested to see how they fare against some of the other Top 8 teams over the next few weeks.
The Contenders
5 (7) Ethiopian Camel Snackers (4-1) - These guys have impressed me all season thus far and have been one of the bigger surprises in the conference. They just lost to SCU 43-10 but 2 ST's TD, a safety and an Int return made the score look more lopsidded than it really was. Watching them very closely.
6 (5) Tanzania Lumberjacks (4-1) - Since their loss to SCU they have rebounded nicely and won 3 straight. They have a big game against the #2 Demons this week which should be a great game and a chance for the Jacks to show they are going to make some noise this season.
7 (7) - Kingdom Come (4-1) - just lost 43-13 to the Demons and have a lot of tough games left on the schedule. Not sure what to really make of these guys just yet - they have a very solid roster but are they championship material?
8 (10) Schrute Farms (3-2) - brownhelmets has this team playing well and competing against some of the better teams - as of Week 5 they get my nod as the #8 seed.
