Ouch. I'm almost to the point where the 15-20 yards you gain from a good punt defense isn't worth the 40% chance of a big return.

Four seasons ago a lot of teams gave up on punting, but then it got good again in the playoffs so teams starting stocking punters again. Now I'm not sure if it is a waste of a spot again or not...

I know. I used to punt from 3 yards or more on fourth and now I think 8 is the break even or something like that. I am leaning toward not punting at all again.

if you recall last season it was aweful for about 3-4 games as well. Just have to wait for the builds to mature. Heck take a look at this play

You mean to tell me his vision is THAT poor that he can't see everyone wide open?

I mean, I could really use another coverage CB on my team... my DBs are just getting wiped because I use a lot of 5 CB sets. I've even employed my CB STOPs to come in to play CB to help save their energy a bit.

What is his open man slider set to?

1. If it is anything more to the right than -100 open man there is a chance that the QB will hold the ball until the 'length' of the routes are reached, especially on third and long.

2. Also if you have favour long passes checked it will ignore open men on some route lengths.

3. Also scramble frequency might have been a distant third reason.

Come on LE, give the guy a break. His arm was hurting from hefting beer bottles all last night, of course his vision was a little foggy and he just wanted to show you he can run as well as pass. He did get 10 yards. LOL

At least we still won, I mean look at offense vs defense and we were just testing passes we will never run in a real game

Oh jeeze... not you guys again.

"Okay guys, we know that he's going to run on every down. Just go out there and stop them."

"Okay, so even though we obviously knew what they were doing, we still couldn't stop them... and they weren't even boosted."

People were upset b/c the QB used to throw the 5 yard out when it was 3rd & 10, so BORT tried his hand at some 3rd down logic.

Basically, since none of your receivers were past the 1st down marker the QB didn't throw the rock.

I'm honestly going to run on every down, I'm testing this stuff for season 23 when I finally figure out the training

Yeah, it did get better after the first several games last year.

Plus, I'm not sure about FG, but we haven't spent SP's, very few of our guys have even spent their TP's/BT's, a lot of them aren't wearing equipment yet, plus I haven't touched the ST depth chart.

Hopefully things will get better.
