Last week I had a perfect 4-0 record, and I expect to go 2-0 this week. Not that I am a stinking genius or anything it just gets easier from here on out. This is srs bidness, so no yokes in this write-ups.

So let's take a look at the games that will decide who reps OPL in the World League next year. Also, please give consideration to sending a player to your conference WL representative to strengthen their team. I love the fact that two OPL teams survived WL season 15. If we can bolster our representatives it goes a long way to improving the reputation of our underrated conference.

Alpha:
----------------------------------------------
Eastern European Alliance 42 - Gold Coast Vipers 28

In the regular season match the Vipers held Biff Beefcake to a 40% completion percentage. Good right? No, as he passed for over 400 yards and three TD's as EEA won 66-34. Included among the completions were this 81-yard bomb from Beefcake to Stickyhands McGluefingers:

A 56-yarder and a 74-yarder from Beefcake to Slava Fetisov:

The first one looked like the CB was on aggressive and got burnt. The last two were catch fake and pump fake fests. And I haven't even mentioned the big running plays yet. For Gold Coast to have a chance they need to stop the big plays of EEA. Don't ask me how they can do that, but it has to be done.

Look for EEA to advance, but that is one hell of a season that Gold Coast has had. Hold your head up, you have a lot to be proud of.

Key player: Biff

Zeta:
-------------------------------------------------------
Atlantis Lost Souls 42 - Sin City Silent Assassins 38

I nearly predicted an upset here. Sin City is coming on strong and have to be the favorite in Zeta in season 16. Aside from an upset loss to Sumatra, Sin City has been rolling lately. But I think the talent on Atlantis is just too much to overcome. But ALS better not take Sin City for granted or they will find themselves out of the playoffs. The first game was very close, a 45-35 win for ALS. A game that could have easily gone the other way if Sin City got one more big play. Sin City's special teams need to be a bit more special and not give up a return TD like they did here:

Sin City's defense was helped by this 80-yard pick 6, they will need one or two more of those to upset ALS:

The OC of ALS needs to make sure the big playmakers on their team get the dotball in their virtual hands in the right spots to make big plays. The HB's of each team will be counted on for some big runs. This should be one hell of a game, I will have my popcorn ready.

Key player(s): Clarett, Hager, Paytoon

Seahawk, you're the Merryl Streep of OPL Dotball write ups. You can do it all. Comedy, now drama...lets try a musical next time out to test my theory!
Thanks again

I laughed, I cried, I laughed some more.

There is an Oscar in this somewhere@!

Thanks Seahawk, another good write up!

And GL Vipers, looks like we get one last chance to rumble before one of us heads upstairs. Should be a good game!

Thanks again for the write up, I'm hoping we can pull an upset but EEA is obviously a very good team. I don't think it will be a blow out like last game and I expect a knock down drag out battle, not good for my stress levels.

Good luck EEA and I'm sure who ever reps the OPL in WL will do the OPL proud.
