If I was the bragging type, I'd point out that I nailed every game in the first round. However, since I'm faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to modest to do such a thing, I won't bring it up.
None of that matters anyway. What does is that things are about to get fugly with this round's match ups.
D9 vs CWE....CWE is an extremely dangerous team. Top notch owner, GMs and dots. Love to say something bad about them more than you know right now, but I can't. I think they're as good or better than any team in APL right now...According to others, D9 is a lock. so, I'd consider it a personal favor if you guys put your P in as QB, a WR at HB and OLmen at WR & TE....Oh, and play your O guys on D. I truly believe this will be a hell of a game, quite possibly the best match up of this round. I gotta go with D9 in a close one, but wouldn't be the least bit shocked if CWE sent us home...Massively bummed, yes, shocked, not at all.
Sahara vs Zambezi...I'll spare ya the great buildup in this one. I think Sahara is playing its best ball of the ssn and Zambezi isn't. Not sure if it's something going on with a GM or God only knows why, but it's been a while since they were rolling through teams during the 3rd quarter of the ssn. That's not good when you're playing a talented and hot team like Sahara. I think they take it relatively easy.
Carthage vs The Preds....Damn good match up here. Both the Preds and Clash could sooooooooo easily be a conf champ game. Like D9, Carthage just doesn't have an easy road to travel, despite being the home team. I'm going to give the edge to Carthage, but won't be the least bit surprised if The Preds ruin their party plans
RR vs the Hogs...RR taught the Hogs a lesson behind the woodshed in their first meeting. Frankly, it wasn't very pretty. Unfortunately for RR, the Hogs have been getting nothing but better since, as running off 9 Ws in a row, over many of the best APL has to offer, would indicate. At the same time, their youngsters are growing up. I'm taking the Hogs in an upset.
