After a really tough loss last week.. I'm sure that the Black Magic are more then happy to see PHP coming to town!
Rwanda Headhunters VS. Somalia Pirates:
The Headhunters had a nice little rolll going before the D9 buzz saw came calling last game.. while the Pirates were busy racking up 487 yards rushing on the Tanks! I have a funny feeling since the Headhunters give up the 3rd most yards per game on the ground that they're going to get a heavy dose of conferences leading rusher.. Lane West and the Pirates continue to roll this week.. I'll say by 32
Carthaginian War Elephants VS. Cybertron War Machine:
Lookie here.. apparently losing to the Storm and the Silverbacks woke up the War Elephants because they're scored 226 points in their last 3 games (and only given up 13). This is probably really bad news for the War Machine.. because this one is going to get ugly!! I'll predict that Mister Martini outscores Cybertron 21-3
Zambezi Silverbacks VS. Lake Opeta Legionnaires:
It looks like the Silverbacks brought their A game this season! With the top passing offense in the conference they're averaging over 480 yards of offense a game! There's only one thing you need to look at to know how this game goes down.. LOL has given up more passing yards then any other team in the Lion Conference.. that's a recipe for disaster this game.. Tex Bishop will lead the Silverbacks to a very dominant victory (I'm talking triple digits here!!)
Ironton Tanks VS. Pretoria Crusaders:
The Tanks put together a couple wins in a row.. and then the tracks fell off! They've allowed 155 points over the past two games and that's bad news!! While the Crusaders have now strung together a couple wins in a row of their own.. including the dismantling of the Black Magic last week! The Crusaders have a solid defense.. and the Tanks don't.. when you're giving up 230 yards a game on the ground.. you'll be hard pressed to win! Crusaders continue their winning ways.. by 24!
Nigeria Nightmares VS. Uganda SilverBacks:
First of all congrats to the Nightmares on their first win of the season! Silverback Light was getting taught a lesson or two in the Rumble for the Jungle.. but that shouldn't give Nigeria any extra hope.. this is still a solid Uganda team.. and they'll take out their frustrations at the Ambien-Lunesta Stadium (trust me even with the drugs Silverback Light could sleep walk through this game and win)!
Massawa Redhorns VS. Sahara Sand Monsters:
The Redhorns finallly stopped that death spiral that they were in and now look to start a streak in the other direction! Good news for them is they get a Sand Monsters team that has shown this season that they've lost their bite.. I'm starting to think that open mouthed logo is for something completely different (just don't drag damnit!!). Redhorns will charge to another easy victory...
*Sahara Storm VS. District 9 Prawns:
**Lion Conference Game of the Week**
It's about time that D9 had to play a game that they won't be able to just show up and win!! No disrespect to the Silverbacks.. but I believe these are the top two teams in Lion (anybody offended by this can either piss off.. or show me I'm wrong).. Last season D9 handed The Storm their first loss of the season 49-0.. then they also sent the Storm home in the playoffs 48-27.. so I'm sure that Rocky & Co. have been looking forward to this one for a while now!! D9 has been on cruise control.. they show up.. they run the ball where ever and when ever they want to and they collect another W. This game will be much different then the others have.. both teams are very committed to the run (they combine for 97 rushing attempts per game!).. D9 averages over 35 minutes per game (t.o.p) while the Storm usually hold the ball for over 36.. unless this game goes into OT that's not possible!! I still believe that D9 is top team in Lion.. and I think they'll win this one.. but I'd say by 10!

The Sons are just having one heck of a season tough loss to D9, I still don't even want to talk about the Kittens game.. and an all out brawl with the Ratels.. damn.. sorry about your luck S3.. somebody has to be the one that we take our frustrations out on.. I guess it gets to be you!!
Ivory Coast Breakers VS. Angola Blood Diamonds:
Congrats ICB on your first APL victory.. this is a match up that by the records (both 1-6) you would think is going to be a very close game.. I don't!! It sounds like a bunch of b.s. but the Breakers are a lot better then their record indicates (which being a Lions fan I here that phrase a lot and usually it is BS).. ABD only averages 120 yards/game of offense.. The Breakers stud WR Rick Riggs almost averages that by himself (111 yards/game receiving)! This one won't even be close as the Breakers roll over Angola and wash out the Diamonds (that was my feeble attempt at an ocean reference if you missed it).. Ivory Coast wins this one 45-3
Kiev Dynamos VS. Kickin Djibouti:
These are two teams heading in two different directions.. Kickin is having an awful year while the Dynamos are enjoying their first season in APL.. averaging over 400 yards/game of offense.. I bet their starting to think well this isn't nearly as tough as everybody made it out to be.. but here's my warning enjoy the Ws while you can because 6 of your last 7 games this season are against playoff teams (nothing personal MaRawk!!o)..
MaRawk!!o Evil Aces VS. The African Predators:
Lets start with something positive .. Evil Aces you've represented yourselves very well in APL.. you've scored every week and been pretty competitive in almost all of your games.. but you're about to run into a different kind of monster today.. the Predators average over 575 yards/game of offense and score over 70 points on average.. this one is going to get ugly early... and then uglier later!!
Pirgos Warlords VS. Somalia Warlords:
Battle of the Warlords goes down today!! That's about as much excitement as this game will have today.. Pirgos has two of the top ten rushing HBs in the conference.. and that's bad news for Somalia today because they've given up the most rushing yards in the conference.. This is another game that is going to get ugly.. and I mean big ugly!!
Carthage Mad Clash VS. Mauritius Mountain Lions:
The Mad Clash will look to continue their run for the #1 playoff seed.. and unfortunately for the Mountain Lions there is nothing that you can do about it! The Mad Clash average over 650 yards/offense per game and 85 points/game... I'm telling you right now.. Mountain Lions should just run for cover and limit the pain today!!
Swaziland Dachshunds VS. Uganda Mounties:
It looks like the Dachshunds are on a roll.. with a 5 game win streak and a suffocating defense.. The Mounties will be hard pressed to "mount" any sort of challenge for them! Mounties.. your mission today.. should you choose to except it.. is to score.. yep that's it.. just get on the board!!
*Nairobi Warthogs VS. Rhodesia Ratels:
**Elephant Conference Game of the Week**
This game ought to be very interesting. Both teams are coming off a big battles.. while the Ratels and Sons were slugging it out neck and neck in a defensive battle.. the Warthogs and Predators were testing scoreboards ability to keep up!! Anyway that you look at it this one will be a battle as well. These are two completely different teams.. while the Ratels lean heavilty on their running game (57 attempts per game!!), the Warthogs are more balanced.. but with a very explosive passing game. Can the Ratels slow down this high powered offense.. can the Warthogs defense even get off of the field? Tune in @ 4:00pm e.s.t. to find out.... my prediction is Warthogs by 7 though!!
