Alright Guys I will give you a run down on how my power rankings work so that no one gets confused or starts yelling about how they were unfairly ranked.

My rankings are based on a set equation that relates points, yards, and other factors that occur during the game. The score that is derived from this equation will set you into the spot you are in this ranking system. Remember you can have a good team, but be low on the chart due to some poor performances and loses.

Also some teams might have the same record, yet one team that they beat might still be ranked higher, this once again is due to game performance. For instance Team A beat team B by a small margin, but in the previous game team A lost forty to nothing and team B won thirty to nothing then team B would still be ranked higher. In some situations where the numbers are close enough to each other then I will give the lower numbered team the higher ranking if they defeated the higher ranked team.

I hope this clarifies some things for you. If any one has any other ideas to add to the ranking please tell me so I can make this more exciting for everyone

Lion Conference
1) Band of Brothers
2) Beltway Bandits
3) Nigeria Nightmares
4) Johannesburg Impala’s
5) Katanga Diamonds
6) Mozambique Starvin Marvins
7) Cape Verde Heahunters
8) Scottish Sharks
9) Oklahoma Fire
10) Red Sea Wave
11) A.C.T. Orcas
12) Ethiopia Executioners
13) Burundi Hutu
14) Rhein Main Magic Mushrooms
15) Tijuana Thundercats
16) River City Riot

Elephant Conference
1) Kigali Silverbacks
2) Ghana Buffalos
3) Gold Coast Corsairs
4) Togo Strikers
5) Zanzibar Leopards
6) Somalia Whales
7) Kinshasa Rumblers
8) Valhalla Norsemen
9) Sierra Leone Magicians
10) Cape Town Shinobis
11) Rwanda Assassins
12) R.I.P. Phantoms
13) Nairobi Night Hawks
14) Doinitin Djbouti
15) Senegal NATIONALS
16) Cairo Crocodiles

Please Remember that I only have two games to go off of for my decision making and ranking. By the next issue Things should start leveling out and It will seem more clear on who should be where.

Champ of the issue: Band of Brothers. They started off strong with a good close game with a tough team, and then finished the second game off with a huge victory over a bottom tier team. Congrats to them

Chump of the issue: River City Riot. Getting 0 points in two games and giving up an average of 88 points in two games definitely warrants ending up in this category.

Upset of the issue: Rwanda Assassins over the Valhalla Norsemen. This one surprised me a little. I thought that the Norsemen would be a dominate force in this league, but the Assassins proved me wrong. Good game for both teams.

Favorite Game of the Week: http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=59054. Nigeria vs. Ethiopia. Good old nail biter right until the end. Close scoring too. I like seeing Defensive battle like this.

Sleeper to watch for: Ethiopia Executioners although they are 0-2 don’t let their record fool you. They faced two undefeated teams and lost to both by only a few points. This is a very good team and could end up at the top of the list by seasons end.

Good Games coming up:

If you have any comments or suggestions please post or PM me. This took me a while, so it would be nice if I got some feedback on how to make it better.

Have Fun

Great job. Thanks for the work. We appreciate it.

I have the colley matrix code if you want it. It is what is used in the BCS and simply uses winning percentage, strength of schedule, and opponent's strength of sched. It pretty much has nailed every league and quelled a lot of bitching.

Interesting, as Ghana beats NATIONALS 20-13 this week and last week we beat the NATIONALS 42-0. HMMMmm

Maybe, I like The system I am using right now. It's not as clean cut, but it does a good job I think. Basically I use: the Strength of opponents at the time you play them, Win/lose, and points and Yard differential. I want to include how well the team performs in the games not just wins and strength of schedule, although I do include both of them. My system has some overlaps with one team beating another with the same record yet being ranked lower, but as the games continue that should dissipate. Most of the overlap is due to lack of games played. As we all know it's hard to see how good a team can be after only two games.

Yes, but they beat a 1-1 team 37-0 the game before, while the nationals are 0-2. Like I said not everything is clean cut yet, but it seems like it works, and if not than I will adjust to make it work.

Kigali doesn't like being a frontrunner. Move us down to like #4 or #5.

I'm still trying to figure out how Rwanda is ranked lower then Valhalla but I'm guessing it's a point won/lost by thing.

It's due to the performance in the other games. Rwanda was killed in their first game while for The Norsemen in their game they were the ones doing the killing. Since Rwanda didn't kill the Norsemen, Rwanda is still considered the lower ranked team. It is basically the A B example I talked about only played out.

FYI, That team was 1-1 because it beat a team of level 1 players.

At least they play the nationals in a couple of days.

You could be the better team. Until you really play you can't tell, and even then with the elephant conference having a lot of 1-1 teams it's sometimes hard to place teams in their correct spot. I think by the next issue you could be in second place in the conference.

Very modest of you to rank your team so low. I think we should be one spot higher.
