somebody please explain.
What our game against the Preds. We had 9 turnovers. They may be better than us but not even close to that. I said it before if you ran that sim 10 times it would never come out like that again.
Also, the new sim this season sucks

This - completely unpredictable.
On my own team in WEPro we gave up 90 points today. I haven't even watched the game but my team hasn't given up 90 points in 2 prior Pro seasons combined. Something is FUBAR. I saw Bort and Co made a change yesterday to blocking/pathing, etc. Not saying it is causing some of this crazy stuff, but I am saying this has become ludicrously crazy.

Obviously I have a running team and sound like a ... but it is what it is.
If it was good, there wouldn't even be a conversation about it.

You are kidding, right? I have flat out never seen a sim in any ssn of GLB that ppl didn't bitch about, except the first 2, and that was just because we knew nothing about how the sim should work.
don't get me wrong, there are some things I really don't like about this sim, but it's no where near as bad as many in the past. Take out the morale death spirals and I really do think it's the best its ever been so far. Before anyone says last ssn's was better, all you have to do was have a 130 speed WR with a couple VAs and the right AEQ, with a QB with 1 VA and the right AEQ and you could toss 30 yard bombs all game long and win every game, unless the other team was better at that than you were. Go watch the WL champ game, with Ed O catching pass after pass after pass, while being trip covered. go watch NBAJam's games and so on. We were immune to it here, but only because we didn't have a team that had the right tools to make it happen. what we had here was cool, but the sim was tragically flawed as bad as the Islam ssn, maybe even worse.
all that said, I do believe the following needs to be addressed, but it's doubtful that much of this will happen. Too much programming is going into the new stuff to leave much left over:
1) Stacks need to be hard capped at 37.5%
2) Either all running SAs need to be tied to the Slider or none at all
3) Spin should be toned down a little, HF, Juke, SA, PT and LS should all be turned up to various degrees
4) Double coverage should be recoded, so one can play over/under or inside/outside
5) QB decision making could use work. They still pass up too many decent options, only to get forced by pressure to throw to a horrid option
Like it or not, I think the dots will have to fix the death spirals on their own. The powers that be hate extreme builds. It was either make conf & stam more important or cap all skills at 100 and EQ at 120, with anything over just being ignored/wasted. Personally, I think this is the lesser of 2 evils and do believe the dots will eventually fix themselves...just painful right now.
Those are my thoughts, anyway, for what little they're worth.

Could you repeat that...I do think this still holds true:
"all you have to do was have a 130 speed WR with a couple VAs and the right AEQ, with a QB with 1 VA and the right AEQ and you could toss 30 yard bombs all game long"

That's the joke.
That joke seems to repeat itself every season...
Its a bummer that your 1-5 takes a back seat to new training and team finances. Just make higher level equipment a little cheaper and it would have made it a lot easier to get to your 1-5 (that I agree with).
The powers that be don't like extreme builds but don't mind extreme bonuses to SAs + AEQ???
I know...

Well, if they were worth that much, this is what we'd be doing. Bort and Catch seem to listen to me more than many, and I appreciate that, but they set their own priorities and such, as well as deciding what they want to pursue.

I don't completely disagree. However, NBAJam is now sitting at 3-4, when they would have been 6-2, at worst, last ssn. Thom tossed 6 ints all of last ssn, but has already tossed 5 in 7 games this. 1 130 speed WR can't run deep every single play all game long without getting gassed this ssn, where as they could last. It's better, but I really don't think it can be truly fixed until something like a 37.5 % stack cap is implemented. I believe the cap would bring that back down to earth on the top dots, without further crippling the majority. If you just make it so The top WL QBs toss a "realistic" # of ints on deep balls, without changing the % stack, those that are complaining about ints now would see their #s sky rocket to well beyond ridiculous levels.
One thing I would say is that run teams are better off in WL this ssn than last. It still sucks to be a run team there, but last ssn you couldn't gain a yard unless you caught the D in a flat out, pants on head stupid formation. As I said, it still, sucks, but HBs & FBs are doing better this ssn there than last, based on the averages I just looked at. Last ssn, it was generally stupid to even try a legit run game against any of the PO teams there. Run teams may as well have just taken a knee every snap and saved their energy. Sure the hell not saying it's good, just that last ssn it was an auto fail. This ssn it's a likely fail.

Well, I don't agree with the priorities for this next ssn, but I also understand what they're trying to do. Part of it is that they want to help the majority of owners that are struggling with EQ and reduce the advantage those of us that have elaborate farm systems (I'd be one of "those") have. "We" have full EQ on every dot and would forever. "We" haven't had to use the farm for EQ yet, but that day would come. The majority of teams that don't have elaborate farm systems can't even equipped all their dots with lvl 64 EQ, let along lvl 72. Getting an extra 8 in a primary skill from EQ is a p big deal.
The other thing they are trying to do is make recruiting easier for the majority. If salary matters, maybe that WR will go to the average club instead of the top team, where he'll be playing the 5th slot and making minimum. Again, those of us that are well connected have one hell of an advantage. I mean, shit, Landrys Legacy is right. You give him 7-8 more top dots and he would be able to stand toe to toe with D9 or any team here in APL. He has a hell of a team, but he is working at a very significant disadvantage going 8 short. Personally, I suggested we go to a 50 dot roster, instead. I actually pushed for that damn hard, but they decided to go this route. I disagree, but know that their motives are pure on it. They're trying to help the "majority" instead of us privileged guys for a change, and they should/better. I just hope this approach works, but am a little concerned that it won't.
The training, I'm not sure what to tell you there, except that they are trying to get the big changes done so they don't have to keep making major changes to building type stuff. Personally, I'd have just made it so you can pick whatever combo you wanted to train, but they think this approach is cooler and gives non owners/GMs more "fun" stuff to do.
Sorry for the tldr. I'm sure the hell not trying to make excuses or say that I think this is all good and great. I just figured I'd explain why I believe certain things have and are happening.
