I have tried to let the upcoming changes announced recently soak in before reacting. I am just wondering how the rest of my OPL brethren are taking it. I have been mostly a one-man show in running my team. I had a good DC a few seasons back that helped get us to the World League, but now it is mostly me once again since he went awol.

It just seems like it will be too much work to successfully run a team alone when the changes get implemented. How do the rest of you feel about things?

I am thinking of cashing out and just running a team in the half-cost basic system that Bort announced. But then again, it may not be as bad as it looks.

What do you guys think?

I like the idea of them letting agents decide how good there players will be instead of teams deciding. This is based on agents being able to get EQ now without depending on the EQ fund. What I don't like is the stadium stuff, your right its just another thing that owners have to worry about. I used to run my team on my own then realized that someone had to take some of the workload.

The coaches just need to go away, its a pointless idea and is just another thing that will separate the good teams from the bad teams.

I agree, I know it seems like I have to be on this site much more often to be successful(lets not include this season) None the less I took some notice to these updates/changes.

Not real fond of the changes. I like the coaching idea and I think it adds another dimension to the game, but I think these changes are going to be just another way for them to squeeze money out of us as if we don't spend enough. I think the game will change to whomever can afford it will have the upper hand. I really don't like the stadium changes and losing the EQ fund. It is penalizing teams that have managed their money well over the last 15 seasons. Not sure about the training system, I guess that will be a wait and see to form an opinion of it.

Overall, I'm sick of them changing the game and taking our money while they do it. If this thing is still in beta, it should be free for everything until they get it how they want it and roll the final product out or at the very least you should get all of your flex pts back when they do roll it out.

TBH, I like the changes. And just like past changes, people will react negatively until they figure them out, then go from there.

I've been pretty bored this season just being an "owner." With CMON running my offense, I've spent my time basically posting, and that's about it. The financial stuff will bring a new dimension to the game, along with the coaching stuff.

I haven't read through all of it yet, but enough to get the jist. I think it will be good for the long term health of the game.

I mean, the extent of finances in the game is build your stadium, set your concession prices, profit. There's nothing interesting in that at all. A 4 year old can manage the EQ fund.

Coaching brings some new and needed depth to the game, and training will be different and unique.

We'll see what happens when this is all implemented, but at the onset, it gets a thumbs up from me.

As for me and my team we will just have to wait and see.The coaches I like, the stadium I'm not sure about but the equipment upgrades being in the players hand is a good thing.I also like the ideal that players will only be able to have one set of equipment since I have never liked the ideal that some players were able to totally change their build by having extra sets of equipment.

After taking a break for the past 2 seasons I will be ready to get back into the game next season.

Ya, I need to give it a chance I think. It might turn out to be ok.

Will require multiple super-active agents to (successfully) run a team.
Otherwise, you will be left in the dust.

I like the financial stuff, seems really cool. I will finally need help running my team though

Training system stuff seems too complicated. Theres no way someone new to the game would understand how to use it

I really like the coaching stuff. In time it is going to add to lot to the game.
