Has anyone read through all this stuff yet?http://goallineblitz.com/game/announcement.pl?id=342. My first thought is that I hope they think long and hard before changing all this at one time.

My thoughts are that they are:

a.) Not proposed - Going to Happen

b.) Too Drastic

c.) Insane

Some massive changes that could make a lot more work for owners & their financial people.

Can't say I'm looking forward to any of the changes revolving around money and I'll hold off judgement on the new training interface until it's rolled out.

I'm all for it. GLB has been long over do for a massive upgrade.

I read through coaches. For the most part. Basically we now can (or have to, if you want to compete) make coaches who give bonuses to plays. More flex to spend, basically.

Love the coaching setup. Probably like the new training setup- I hate not being able to combine whatever attributes I want, like strength+speed or strength+agility or speed+vision, etc. Finances will take some getting used to. Looks like it will be real, real easy to run a team into the ground, but smart CFOs will be the most valuable team staff of all.

honestly, i havent read through all the stuff.... and I am on GLB almost every day for several hours. the changes have taken over the game to the point that it's like work.... rather than enjoying myself, I find myself with piles of stuff to read in my inbox. The timing of all this is very suspect in my opinion with so many player basically lined up to retire and recover a % of their flex.

Making the game work well is how they'll get us to keep buying flex. This seems like a big step towards moving out of Beta status to me.

From my admittedly cursory review of the changes regarding finances, it seems that the biggest problem will be not knowing what kind of starting money the team will have until the off season at least. Planning time would seem to be the most important factor, assuming all these changes are set in stone. So at least give the owners a seasons heads up. The silver lining here is that I expect the # of owners dropping their teams will result in a market glut in players looking for teams.

I don't like the idea of being able to use whatever training combos you want. Takes a bit out of the strategy needed to build a great player.

It will still take good strategy, but now slightly different build variations can be successful, which is a good thing.
