The Fine Four
#1 Nairobi Death Squad - Nairobi gets a decisive win at home to open the season taking down Toro Nation 50-3. After a close first half that saw Nairobi holding on to a 10-3 lead, the Death Squad exploded in the 3rd quarter and put up 30 points.

#2 Fulham Flying Hellfish - A hell of a game for Fulham. They took a 17-3 lead in the early parts of the 2nd Q but then Zimbabwe fought back to tie it up 17-17 at then of the half. Zimbabwe then took a 7 point lead and Fulham tied it up with the 3rd Q winding down. A FG in the 4th quarter would prove to be their winning points.

#3 Kenya Diggits - Kenya came out with a bang to open the season up. A 128-0 shutout win helps move them up in the rankings. Not the toughest draw for interconference games but a shutout is a shutout against a decent team.

#4 West Yorkshire Bandits - The Bandits were in a close game through the first half as they were behind 3-6. Things fell apart in the 3rd quarter though as the Inferno piled up 17 points and never looked back. The Bandits had a tough time running the ball and protecting their QB as they gave up 15 sacks in this one.

The Muddled Middle
#5 Sterling Bulldawgs - Another top team last season came out flat in their opener for a second year in a row. The Bulldawgs offense could not get anything done and put their defense in a tough spot as they fell behind 3-21 in the first half. Turnovers also cost them some points as they continually gave up decent field position.

#6 Nile Crocodiles - Nile picks up a win against the Nightmares but this is what we expect from Nile. To beat so-so teams easily. Nigerian only won 3 games last season so Nile will have to repeat this effort over the coming weeks before being given the benefit of the doubt.

#7 Colonial Zoners - The Zoners couldn't get anything done in week 1 as they fell to the Bastards 14-41. Their chemistry is shot right now so it may hurt them for weeks to come.

#8 Burundi Bucsh Warriors - The Warriors fell flat in their opener as they got shutout to the tune of 0-36. They'll bounce back the next 2 weeks most likely though as they face weak teams.

Outsiders Looking In
#9 Zimbabwe Bulls - Not a good start to the season as they got blown out. Hard to imagine things improving any time soon.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes - Another team having a tough start to the season. They'll have to go through Sterling before hitting a slightly softer schedule.

Nowhere Close
#11 Lyon Flames - CPU get smashed.

#12 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces - Smashed some more.

#13 Hungry Hungry Hippos - Crushing defeat...

#14 Longreach Wildcats - Another defeat.

#15 Patagonia Punishers - Slaughtered.

#16 Algeria Dune Hoppers - Yet another massacre.

Week 2 Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK (or in this case the only game worth watching most likely)
Nairobi @ Fulham
This should be a very good game that will go a long way towards showing how much Fulham has improved this season. I'm taking the Death Squad in a close contest though since they were my top pick this season.

Kenya vs Colonial
Not knowing much about these teams it's hard to make a call here. I picked Kenya as a dark horse team this season though so I'm giving them the nod here. Plus Colonials chemistry is in the toilet right now which won't help them.

Sterling @ West Nile
The Bulldawgs will look to bounce back hard against West Nile. The Mosquitoes are still plagued by the recruiting bug so I don't like their chances in this one.

Nile vs Zimbabwe
The Bulls just do not have the depth to compete against the Crocodiles. Nile takes this one easily.

Burundi vs Patagonia
Bye week for Burundi.

West Yorkshire @ Alexandria
Bye week for the Bandits as they recover from week 1 game.

Lyon @ Algeria
Two CPU teams...zzzzzzzz

Hungry @ Longreach
More CPU teams.

Great write up ecrana. The Sterling game will be another loss for us for sure. Hopefully the softer schedule after the Sterling game will benefit are CPU roster.

WEEK 2 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Nairobi Death Squad (2-0) - Nairobi came out and controlled the clock with a consistent running game and very efficient passing game. They forced a few turnovers as well and managed to score on a pick 6 while also getting a kick return TD to walk away with a 45-16 victory over Fulham. With Kenya up next we could see a front-runner start to emerge for the #1 seed this season.

#2 Kenya Diggits (2-0) - For the second week in a row Kenya has shutout their opponent. Big match-up this week against Nairobi. Should be a hell of a game and I diggit.

#3 Fulham Flying Hellfish (1-1) - The Hellfish got doused as they struggled to get their run game going. With 2 easy games coming up they have plenty of time to see where they need improvement.

#4 West Yorkshire Bandits (1-1) - Soft schedules have a way of erasing bad opening games. Another cupcake awaits the Bandits before they play the Warriors and Bulldawgs.

The Muddled Middle
#5 Sterling Bulldawgs (1-1) - Another team with a soft schedule, the Bulldawgs are looking to coast for the next few games before facing off against the Bandits, the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season.

#6 Nile Crocodiles (2-0) - Two games, two blowouts. Until they face Nairobi in week 4 and beat a worthy team I can't move them up into the top 4 though.

#7 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (1-1) - Easy win for the Warriors last week. Things stay easy with Longreach up next.

#8 Zimbabwe Bulls (1-1) - Fell flat against Nile. Very soft schedule for the next 4 weeks could give them a chance to do something.

Outsiders Looking In

#9 Colonial Zoners (0-2) - The Zoners are having a tough start to the season and it's not getting any easier with Nile up next. This could be a good time for the Zoners to step up though and show us whether they've just played some high quality opponents or not.

#10 West Nile Mosquitoes (0-2) - A tough opening schedule gets a little easier for 3 weeks. Zimbabwe should be the toughest contest until Nairobi comes to town.

Nowhere Close
#11 Lyon Flames (1-1) - Lyon burns Algeria.

#12 Longreach Wildcats (1-1) - Take down the Hippos.

#13 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (0-2) - No Ace up their sleeves this week.

#14 Hungry Hungry Hippos (0-2) - Slashed by the Wildcats.

#15 Patagonia Punishers (0-2) - Punished...again.

#16 Algeria Dune Hoppers (0-2) - Burned.

Week 3 Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK

Nairobi vs Kenya
Kenya has been impressive so far and this will be a big test for them. Should be a great matchup that shows if Kenya has what it takes to make a run for a top 4 seed this season.

Colonial vs Nile
Must win game for both teams as far as I'm concerned. Colonial needs to end their 2 game slide and show that they've just been playing really tough teams. Nile needs to show that they haven't just had some very easy games to start the season. Not sure how much of a challenge Colonial is but with Nairobi up next for Nile they need to keep momentum going.

Zimbabwe vs Algeria
Should be an easy win for the Bulls even with a depleted roster.

Lyon vs West Nile
Even with a badly depleted roster West Nile should still take this one.

Hungry vs Fulham
Bye week for Fulham.

Longreach vs Burundi
Bye week for Burundi.

West Yorkshire vs Patagonia
Bye week for the Bandits.

Sterling vs Alexandria
Bye week for Sterling.

WEEK 3 RANKINGS

The Fine Four
#1 Kenya Diggits (3-0) - Hell of a battle between Kenya and Nairobi that saw neither team score an offensive touchdown until the final 2 minutes of the game. Both defenses shut down the opposing offenses in a defensive struggle that saw Kenya squeak away with a 2 point victory after being up 13-0 at the start of the 4th. With a 5-0 start ahead of them before facing Fulham it's safe to say that Kenya has sent out a big statement to the rest of the conference. It would appear that I was right in calling them this seasons CWM in preseason rankings... Now can you dig that?

#2 Nairobi Death Squad (2-1) - As their offense struggled mightily against Kenya, NDS made a strong push in the 4th and almost had the makings of a comeback in their hands. It's easy to see NDS has had one of the tougher opening months in the conference and with undefeated Nile up next they won't want to drop 2 in a row. The second month of the season sees a cupcake schedule however that will give NDS 4 easy wins.

#3 Fulham Flying Hellfish (2-1) - Fulham is riding out an easy wave of games before facing Burundi, Kenya & Nile.

#4 Nile Crocodiles (3-0) - Nile annihilated the Zoners and, with a shot at the reeling Death Squad, week 4 sets them up to make a huge statement if they can pull off the upset.

The Muddled Middle
#5 West Yorkshire Bandits (2-1) - After coasting through the last 2 games the Bandits will face a little tougher competition this week.

#6 Sterling Bulldawgs (2-1) - The Bulldawgs are just riding out this wave of easy games as they prepare for the Bandits.

#7 Burundi Bucsh Warriors (2-1) - After taking advantage of some weak opponents the Warriors will have to step it up this week against the Bandits.

#8 Zimbabwe Bulls (2-1) - The scheduling gods have been very kind to the Bulls but will things fall apart for them come the second half of the season?

Outsiders Looking In
#9 West Nile Mosquitoes (1-2) - West Nile gets the first win of the season. With the Bulls and Zoners up next the Mosquitoes have a shot at a winning record before facing NDS.

#10 Colonial Zoners (0-3) - The Zoners are falling down a dark hole but with 4 games against mostly CPU teams they have a chance to get over .500 before week 8.

Nowhere Close
#11 Lyon Flames (1-2) - Preparing for a showdown to see who's the best of the worst this season.

#12 Longreach Wildcats (1-2) - Nothing to look forward to for the next few weeks.

#13 Alexandria Crimson Evil Aces (0-3) - Another week, another blowout.

#14 Hungry Hungry Hippos (0-3) - Things won't get easier for at least 2 weeks.

#15 Patagonia Punishers (0-3) - Nothing good coming here with Sterling up next.

#16 Algeria Dune Hoppers (0-3) - Could be awhile before we see a win in their stats but one will come eventually.

Week 4 Predictions
GAME OF THE WEEK
Nile vs Nairobi
Nile is riding high right now after starting the season 3-0 but all 3 wins came against subpar teams. They face a much stiffer test against Nairobi this week. When they faced off last season NDS took home a decisive win with a 40-0 victory. Can the Crocs make it a better game this time around? My money is on NDS to take the game but a Nile win would go a long way towards showing the conference that they have top 4 potential.

Burundi vs West Yorkshire
Burundi has had a similar story to Nile. With 2 cupcake teams giving them their 2 wins they have to show they can play strong against the top tier teams. The Bandits are not to be taken lightly even if their 2 wins came against easy opponents too. Last season the Bandits squeaked out a 4 point win but made big strides as the season wore on. The big question on my mind is whether or not this is the Bandits team that barely beat Burundi in the early part of last season or the team that showed drastic improvement in the second half of the season and advanced to the 2nd round of the playoffs. I have a feeling it's the latter and this will not be as close a game as last time.

West Nile vs Zimbabwe
Both of these teams are in transition right now and both have similar weaknesses due to thin rosters. The big difference could be Zimbabwes defense in this game.

Alexandria vs Lyon
Both are CPU teams so there's nothing to talk about here.

Algeria vs Colonial
Colonial has had a rough start to the season but this week they start a 4 week stretch of games that should put them over .500 if they do what they need to do.

Kenya vs Hungry
Bye week.

Patagonia vs Sterling
Bye week.

Fulham vs Longreach
Bye week.

A lot of crap games this week but I'm sure this is how most of the season will be. Nile/Nairobi & Burundi/West Yorkshire could start shaking up the standings though and should be the two best games this week.

Once again, thanks for the predictions. This season is shaping up to be just as tough as last season with 4 or 5 teams capable of knocking each other off. Nile Crocs have always been a tough opponent for us and I figure this week will be no exception. Good luck to Coastiemike and the Crocs.

Good luck to you guys as well. We've been in the same league since Afica A so looking forward to fueling our rivalry. Just hope our overall chemistry doesn't cost us.
