Week 2 is done and we're now 2 weeks away from the Official Power Rankings. This week, things look a little bit clearer, but we still have a few things to settle before things will truly come into focus. As last week, take these with a grain of salt.

My Power Rankings rely heavily on your overall record and what you've done recently. These rankings have been retooled from Season 2 to include a modifier for Margin of Victory that is weighted against the records of the team you played. So while conducting a 20 point win over a team with a winning record will do a lot for your Rankings, conducting an 80 point win against a team at the bottom of the league won't do anything, if at all.

Well. I guess playing a team with a bad record hurt us this week.

Yeah. It won't really start to look right until week 8 or so. I still think the Warriors are the favorites to advance in Zeta. I'm just enjoying being in the top 10 after spending last season at the bottom of the heap.

Pretty much.

And as far as the Storm goes: You guys really made a few of the top teams sweat it out last season, forcing them to fight the entire game. I expected big things out of you this season. Maybe not a championship, but a deep playoffs run isn't impossible.

Feels good to be out of the bottom of the rankings with the Storm finally!

Ya, despite us being on top, and joking around about it, we're not putting much stock in the PR's until about week 6. Then, at least for us, we can see where we are at compared to the teams both in our league and in zeta.

But, it does feel good to win our first 2 games. Something we didn't get to experience much last year with our big brothers to the North.

I have a great group of guys on the team now after being a boneheaded owner for a few weeks and making some bad personnel moves. We competed with all the top returning teams last season and I think we can keep it up this season.

Our two games against Tricity have been phenomenal. Last season they came back from a 10-0 deficit in the 4th to win 13-10, this season they scored a TD with 1:41 left to go up 10-9 and we kicked a 43 yd FG with 11 seconds left to win 12-10.

RTGC, how does your conference look over there. I haven't done much scouting as of yet, since we've been so focused on our first 5 games.

There are some tough teams over here and we just beat one of them. I'm not sure about some of the guys that have had ownership changes - they will offer a new challenge. I need to scout some of the teams we played early last year as well since there have been a lot of changes with some of them.

If you go by last year's final standings Warsaw, Tricity, and London will be the teams to beat. I'd say Warsaw is a pretty clear favorite right now, but I think some of the middle-of-the pack teams may have risen to be able to challenge. It will be fun to see how the season plays out.
