Warrior General Games

I think we discuss it every season but nothing really ever comes of it or we are all too tied up in tournies by the time it comes up. But is there any interest in an East vs. West challenge (other then Week 1). If there's enough interest we could go several routes with this.

a) Nominate team captains (by default I'd go with the conference champions from last season) and they would rotate making game selections (Outlaws won so they'd pick the first game from the team pools, then Short Bus would pick, and it would alternate).

b) Try to pair accordingly. Playoff teams play playoff teams, non playoff teams play non playoff teams, and silver champs play silver champs, and so forth (well that's kinda it really ).

c) Random Draw.

Ideally I'd like to get at least 8 teams from each, the the more the merrier. We would try to do them in groups (like 2-4 games a day) that way just in case the score becomes lopsided those at the end of the rotation aren't just playing meaningless games.

Anyway, is there any interest in this?

Only after we're out of the playoffs. Before the playoffs I dont think anybody is going to want to tip their hand to much. So the teams that win will probably just be the ones that game planned the most.

Crackertown might be interested once we field a team..... Right now we need to work on one thing at a time!!!!

The only east west game I'm worried about is the championship. Other than that I could care less who's better.

To avoid last year's problem, I will say no right now to this.

i dont see the big deal...chances are you are not going to play the team that makes the championship or be the team that makes the championship anyways....its a fun way to settle the argument of which conference is better from top to bottom...its one game, and it doesnt count for anything besides bragging rights anyways...the so called "tipping your hand" argument is weak anyways...tipping your hand about what? the chances that 2 teams get matched up in the championship are so astronomical anyways...its less than 1% chance you play the team thats going to be in the championship

i'd love to play some of the great teams in the west...this is my 4th season as an owner in PW, and i've never played teams like tombstone, andro, dharma, ACS, etc....I would love to play these teams in something that has some relevance

Well, I'll take scrimmage requests from any team in the East.

Preferably after day 10 because my team always has some kinks to work out in the first week, but I will go earlier if you want an easier game, also it might help fix my shit faster.

Why don't we have the best of each division face off against each other? Pick the top 4 teams from the previous season and have them play each other. If any of those teams doesn't want to do it, drop down a level to include the teams from the previous playoff rounds.
