Not really sure which to pick, will spot blitz work for a LT? (if so that might be nice) I know its generally a FB piece or for the backs.

Its that or Pummel, (I don't really need 'Balance' as he's pretty strong for a LT and wont have many issues against DE's).

Thoughts?

I also considered first step or quick cut.

I was down to First Step and Pummel, then I looked up what other people's thoughts were on First Step for an LOT and went with Pummel.

Pummel affects morale - I think I would rather have Spot Blitz for my LT to pick up the blitzers better as opposed to knocking down the morale on a player with likely high confidence

Do we know that spot blitz will work for lineman/LT?

You would think it would since it's a choice. But that logic has not been Bort proof in the past, lol. On the face of it, Spot Blitz should only work to pick up a blitzing OLB or CB. Whereas MLB and Safety usually blitz up the middle don't they, not on the corner? Seems a highly questionable SA to me.

perhaps.

As for the Spot Blitz, Catch said he's pretty sure it WON"T work but he's not 100% on that (Only Bort knows for sure).

Man, I still hate morale-effecting abilities. How can anyone get excited over them? (No irony intended.)

On further reflection, strong arm works better for stronger players (its a G's passing SA), so most LT's aren't that strong to begin with, then all it does is push the speed DE away (you really want to keep those guy in close and engaged IMO).

So I wouldn't take it.

what if you were on a power running team that wanted run blocking left tackles?

Would you get pummel or stron arm~?

Awesome logic, but IRL OT's often push rushers past the QB in "strong arm" fashion when the rusher gets a little past them. That extra second or two is all it takes to get the pass away. Not sure this occurs in GLB though.

See I wouldn't call that (IRL) a strong arm, as your not pushing them outside (your escorting them there, staying with them maintain contact and riding them out deep past the QB).

That's how I see it/did it.
