Eastern Conference Power Rankings Week 6

Week 6 Game of the Week Results: #1 Quebec 70 - #5 Lewiston 0
Week 7 Game of the Week: #6 Tatum's at #2 Midland

1(3). Quebec Eh's (5-1) – I’m not sure if Midland just overlooked Lewiston, they’re overrated or if Quebec is just that good, but a 70-0 thrashing of the Raiders skyrockets Quebec into the #1 spot. They both play Tatum back-to-back so we’ll see how they compare with another common opponent in two weeks, then the best game of the year so far in Week 9: Midland at Quebec.
Key Players: HB- Mike Shaw, WR- Skyler Massaquois, OT- 8 Foot Tall Wookie

2(1). Midland Dirty Dawgs (6-0) – Midland wasn’t happy with how they played last week and took it out on Putnam County, 184-0. Midland falls to the #2 spot, but remains in the driver seat for the conference title at the moment. A lot is riding on this Week 9 matchup @ Quebec. A win guarantees a #1 or #2 seed, and a loss could drop them to 3rd if they can’t manage to beat Indian Creek in Week 12.
Key Players: HB- Mike Shoemaker, QB- Eupridies Pants, SS – James Jackson
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yhdhrk6

3(2). Indian Creek Braves (6-0) - The Creek drop to #3 by default. Frankly, their Strength of Schedule thus far is holding them back in the rankings. The only team they’ve faced in to the Top 8 is sitting at #7 and zero teams have had a winning record. They have DC (1-5) and Anchorage (0-6) the next two weeks. Which means they’ll sit here at #3 until at least Week 9. Week 9 will settle some scores and start to hammer out the rankings a bit. (#2 Midland @ #1 Quebec, #5 Lewiston @ #3 Indian Creek)
Key Players: FS- Young Turbo, WR- Isaac Pruitt, HB- Cody Paul
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yzojen2

4(5). Stockholm Polar Bears (6-0) – Lewiston got pounded this week and Stockholm remains unbeaten, so the Polar Bears retake the #4 slot. Both teams have cupcake games this week then square off in the Game of the Week for Week 8. I still have a feeling Lewiston comes out on top but its hard to bet against a team who’ll be 7-0.
Key Players: HB- J. Starr, WR- Burns Leinie, CB- "Neon" Deion Sanders
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yf9bwmb

5(4). Lewiston Raiders (3-3) – Well, Lewiston couldn’t live up to the hype this week against Quebec. Lewiston gets a much needed breather this week at Dreamland, but then its back-to-back tough weeks for the Raiders, again... Lewiston needs to beat Stockholm in Week 8 to, theoretically, lock up the #4 seed and home-field advantage in the first round of the playoffs.
Key Players: HB- Ryan Wilson, QB- J Bizzell, WR- Mark Dakota
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yjt6e5r

6(6). Tatum’s Terribles (4-2) – Sitting pretty at 4-2, but things are about to getting ugly in Tatum. They’ll drop four of the next five against Quebec, Midland, Indian Creek and Stockholm. The Terribles will need to shock the world with a win at home against Stockholm to avoid playing the #2 or #3 seed in the first round of the playoffs. My guess is they’ll stay right here all season and end up at #6.
Key Players: CB- JJRS, QB- JJQB, HB- JJHB2
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yf4onld

7(7). Beantown Gearheads (3-3) – Two down, five to go. Things are rolling in Beantown. Admission Price and DC shouldn’t be too much of a problem for the Gearheads, but they won’t be walks in the park. Beantown gave Stockholm one hell of a game in Week 3, I’m anxious to see how they fair against Lewiston after a 7 game win streak.
Key Players: CB- Nelson Montas, HB- Juan Capeles, HB- Neville DePass
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yk4bspc

8(8). D.C. Corruption (1-5) – We haven’t seen a whole lot out of DC yet, but with the schedule they’ve had there hasn’t been many opportunities to shine. The 2nd half of the season gets a littler easier, but that’s not the case in Week 7 at The Creek. Starting the season at 1-6 and ranked #8? This conference drops off quickly after the Top 7 teams. Sad thing is, it drops off again after #9.
Key Players: CB- Jason Blocnougher, HB- Thomas Allen, LB- Les Akey
Highlight from Week 6: http://tinyurl.com/yjfeqdd

The Bottom 8:
9. Admission Price (2-4)
10. Charlotte Wildcats (2-4)
11. Putnam Co. Keg Tossers (1-5)
12. Dallas Stallions (1-5)
13. 10-Yard Fight (2-4)
14. Dreamland Hippies (2-4)
15. Control Freak (0-6)
16. Anchorage Kindergarten For Disorderly Conduct (0-6)

I can't disagree with Midland's drop, but we'll get back there.

I love the addition of the highlight play!

Yea, it's not so much Midland dropped as much as Quebec jumped up.. I knew they were tough, but 70-0 win against Lewiston really opened my eyes.. But like I said, we'll see in just a few weeks who's who in the East!!!

Dbrew you're the man. It's quite refreshing to see these write-ups and highlights. We have a lot of work yet to do as we enter into the meat of our schedule but we look forward to the challenge of having the target on our back.
