1) Swaziland Dachshunds - Picked up where they left off with a thorough beating of the Quarantine 103-0. They are the team to beat!

2) Kickin Djibouti - Sahara gave them a scare up until the 4th quarter came along. Still slinging it with the best of them.

3) District 9 Prawns - The name has been changed to protect the innocent! The 100 day offseason did wonders to help out team chemistry...

4) Windhoek White Rhinos - All they do is win!

5) Pirgos Warlords - Someone is having a nightmare tonight, but it isn't Kylos!

6) GRiTs - Tooo Sweet!

7) Sons of Anubis - Just another win for the Sons in a thorough thumping of Carthage!

8) Tanzania Mountaineers - They had the pleasure of meeting Gaw Dam, be afraid and get out of the Top 10!

9) Rhodesia Ratels - "Ratels, mean little badgers. We bite your ankles and steal your women!" - Doesn't anything else really need to be said? I like that saying so it stays! Didn't disappoint in their opener...

10) Carthaginian War Elephants - Sons of Anubis give the Elephants a rude welcome to APL, they will make some noise with the rest of the Kittens though.

Elephant flexed it's muscles today but it really means nothing until Day 40! If this meant anything, it could show that the Trophy stays on the right side of the line in Season 14. Two teams will be dropping from the Top 10 tonight, just haven't decided who gets the nod to come in with the Elite. Good luck everyone..

Nice writeup RJ. Honestly not sure if we deserve the spot or not, but we'll do our damnedest to hang onto it.

GG RJ, I really think you are crediting the wrong dot. Gaw Dam had very little to do with the outcome of that game. Your OL and blocking TE on the other hand, played the deciding role you could have had the marshmallow man from ghostbusters out there and he could have put up similar numbers and come the 4th quarter a pee wee RB would have been unstoppable to my demoralized defense. The GLB gods must have been favorable with your shopping token rolls this offseason. ;P

We do have a very solid OL with good a mix of old and young players, but we all know game one means nothing as how we both played yesterday will be much different than game 16. I personally had a chance to grab the Marshmallow Man but he had low confidence and agility. As far as Gaw Dam, he is just so damn ugly that I thought I would send him some love...Great game and best of luck this season!

Thanks my Center, Guard, and TE appreciate the compliment! Never expected that result against you guys. You always have a tough squad and we just happen to get the better of you this time. As you said the moral death spiral hit and then it was all over.

I personally think bad sims happen more and more, and it's a lot of luck and random rolls of the dice at this level.

It's not that they happen more and more, it's that the teams are much closer to the same talent level, so a bad sim spells disaster in almost every case. At lower tiers of competition, a good team can overcome a bad sim against an inferior team.

In this league, last season, all but like 4 teams in Elephant had a chance on "Any given sunday".

Nothing really, shouldn't a mighty WPL team beat an APL team? I would look more at the 4-0 Boston Dogs and Dakar teams and then talk about APL...
