My understanding was the build determines pancakes. I have a LT with over 1600 pancakes and 0 in pancake. I know I am usually going up against the weakest DLineman, but I still do better than most LTs.
Just wondering since the first few seasons, I heard a lot of, "pancake is worthless." The results of my LT seemed to bear that true. Was there a change or buff to the SA?
I have very few SAs on my guy, but I would guess just from reading the forums the last 7 seasons, it would be GL, Foundation, and hold block% (after the first 2 in the OP.)
I still question the effectiveness of Pancake too. My Center has always had jack in it, and he has been a pancake-whore.
After the specific Protector and Line General SAs for LT and C, I would rank the others:
1) Hold Block % (D-line guys have several options of AEQ and VAs that directly affect the Block roll and can be stacked. O-line guys only have Hold Block and Stone Wall VA.)
2) Get Low
3) Hands
4) Foundation (This would be slightly higher for LGs and OTs since they usually take on the quicker and more agile dots in pass-protection.)
I agree with PackMan97 though that the best strategy is to run over the D and wear them down.
