Doing just the Lion Conference for now, but will include the Elephant Conference later today, it's late. For these first games there will be a LOT of guesswork involved, so i'm just going to be brief and keep it simple. Here goes nothing:
Pretoria Pigs vs. Tanzania Morning Wood
I feel this one is pretty one-sided. The Pigs have neither the starters or the depth to rise to the occasion against the Morning Wood.
Tanzania wins 35-17
Congo Choir Boys vs. Togo Outlaws
This one looks pretty even and could go either way. In the end depth and tactics will play a major role in determining the winner in this one.
Togo edges out the Boys 24-27
Pretoria Pittbulls vs. Rwanda HellFish
Try as they might, the Pittbulls just haven't had much success in signing on players. The fans packed into HellFish Aquarium are in for a real treat!
Rwanda in a blowout win 49-9
Zanzibar Face-Eaters vs. Texas Armadillos
The league doesn't cover travel expenses out of the continent, so you can imagine how upset the Face-Eaters were when they heard their first game would be in Texas! This is NO CONTEST Armadillo's...remember the Alamo...
Face-Eaters maul the Armadillos 54-0
Ethiopia Devils vs. Botswana Bushmen
Another fairly even pairing. Offensively these two teams match up well, but I think the defensive edge would have to go to the Devils. Look for the Devil's D to make some key stops and lead this team to victory.
Devils win 24-17
Impending Doom vs. Ivory Coast Wildcats
This one is tough to call...but when you match up the offense of the Wildcats with the defense of the Doom you gotta give the edge to the cats. I see gloom for the Doom.
Wildcats over the Doom 21-7
Niger Hitmen vs. Djibouti Jackals
While the Jackals have made plenty of moves in the offseason, this work-in-progress will not overcome the powerhouse that owner whodat has built in Niger.
Niger wins 35-6
Zimbabwe Tigers vs. Uganda Hawks
Uganda has a LONG way to go if it hopes to be competitive this season. Too many CPUs to really take the bite out of the Tigers. I smell victory for Zimbabwe and it smells like pancakes...lots and lots of pancakes...
Tigers destroy the Hawks 41-3
Prediction Record: 0-0
