Season 13's dust in the wind, but I'm sure we'll see Thundercat popping in to talk trash every now and again.
Without further ado...
#1 Athens Hoplites - Highest current effective level at 73. Returning most of the starters from last season and some new ones that opened up some mentorships. We've had a lot of builds open for a few seasons, so most teams know where we are at with our players. We're celebrating our 11th season in AAA this year and have the tools for a gold trophy this season.
#1-T Spokane River Rats - I like the Rats to beat the Athens Gods in their matchup. I think with its bolstered lineup and after a season learning their opponents tactics, should be a force in season 14.
#2 Athens Gods - Predicting the Gods lose to the Hoplites again here in Season 14. I don't see any great additions on the roster, and the chemistry hit was pretty substantial. Should be in the gold by week 1 and if they have a weak schedule for the first 4 games, the chemistry won't be an issue.
#3 Lush Puppies - This team is filled with role players. I like them to upset a team or tie and vie for the #2 seed pretty heavily. They need a big season out of their receiving corps, especially when faced with tough run defenses.
#4 Barcelona Bandits - Pretty big chemistry hit, but 6 WRs deep and buffs to elusive/passing could have the Bandits in prime position to leave any team with an upset secondary. The Bandits need to leverage their running game in key situations to augment their passing attack.
#5 - Banja Luca Boracs - Perfectly Rounded out roster, gold bars for chemistry, excellent off-season for the Boracs. Consistency will be the Boracs' #1 hurdle to overcome in season 14. In thirteen they spanked the Hoplites and performed extremely well against the bulk of the playoff field.
#6 - Black Sea Storm - The roster is huge, the weapons available are extensive. Black Sea had the best off season of any Zeta club, but until we know its made them much better, they'll be chasing the Gods all season long. This club is poised to be a top 3 team after they stomped the Bandits in the first round of season 13's playoffs.
#7 - Yorktown Generals - I've yet to see this team in action, but know that they've been on the coattails of a lot of Zeta headliners for previous seasons. I'm looking forward to getting to know the Generals better.
#8 - T - Legion of Doom - Excellent builds, and highly organized. Some new AAA powerhouses, and a year behind the clubs that have been promoted ahead of them, the Doom will be as tough as the Falcons or Bulls in season 14. If losses pile up, team Morale could spell defeat. Just 44 players on the roster, some additions before day 1 would be nice.
#8-T - Finland Falcons - AI Scripting will be huge for this club. They are faced with some new opponents and their loss to Ithaca last season was a shocker. Best roster of any of their bottom tier rivals. I'm thinking the Falcons will be the dark horse pick all season.
#8-T - Ithaca Raging Bulls - Recruiting has been disappointing, but they can script a game as well as any other club. Look for the Bulls to provide some surprises this season and give their old rivals a good run for their money. Sniper Bullet, last season's MVP has to prove he still has the right stuff.
