I was wondering if Gold wanted to maybe host an East Versus West tourney? Will look similar to the Silver vs Gold this season.

4 to 8 teams from each side join and are randomly paired off.

Each side earns points based on this:
Wins = 20 points.
Each point scored in the game = 1 point.

So if this is the result of the first round:

East1 45 = 65
West1 14 = 14

East2 14 = 14
West2 28 = 48

East3 24 = 24
West3 28 = 48

East4 0 = 0
West4 7 = 27

First round score:

East = 0+24+14+65 = 103
West = 27+48+48+14 = 137

Second round would be matched up as the top two teams (based on +/-), next best, etc.

Third round would matchups would be based on total +/- from the tournament.

So every team plays three times, best score in the end gets to claim the title.

Top team (total points earned minus points earned against) from the winning division gets team of the tournement.

I might be interested. Would be nice to get a feel for a team in case you meet in the big dance. Never played the Crabs before and watching PBP only tells you so much. Would of been nice to played them once before.

We don't need a ton of teams, but the more involvement from each conference the better.

We were thinking about doing this, but we are now in a few tourneys already, and we havent heard back about this one yet, so for now, Im going to say we are out of this one.
Sorry .....Good luck with this tourney, hope it goes well if it still occurs.

No. Week 1 is rarely a good indication of how well East versus West should be.

I'll bring this idea back up later in the season, for now consider the tournament on hold.
