1) Ironton Tanks (7-0) - Only things that resembled a close game was a 33 point route of Wallachia and a 42 point walloping of the Stink Apes. Everything else has been like 783 to negative 8. It will take a major ambush, a team wide case of the H1N1 virus and some Ex Lax brownies during the pregame meal to take these guys down.

2) Fat Jaws Badness (7-0) - They are rolling through an Elephant Conference that is not as talented as Lion. They have yet to be tested during the regular season but a showdown with Darfur looms in 2 weeks.

3) Wallachia Wamphyrii (6-1) - Their only blemish is to the top ranked Tanks and while they were outmatched in that contest, it actually was slightly closer than the score indicates. Ranked ahead of undefeated Le Thor and Darfur based on their performance in scrimmages and against a quality Luxembourg team and a route of a pretty decent Johannesburg squad as well as the "close" (lol) loss to Ironton.

4) Le Thor Devil Bats (7-0) - Much like Fat Jaws, they have not been tested during the regular season but they are taking care of business. Impressive wins against Uganda and Serengeti but they have yet to play one of the other big 4 in the Lion Conference.

5) Darfur Depopulators (7-0) - More trouble with Appalachicola than expected but otherwise rolling through the Elephant division. Their game in 2 weeks with the Badness will determine top seed (and highest ranked Elephant team) in the near future.

6) Luxembourg Lions (6-1) - Impressive showing against Uganda as they took out their frustration from the previous weeks lackluster showing against Wallachia. Along with Le Thor, the only teams that have a prayer of catching Ironton off guard.

7) Appalachicola Bay Buccaneers (6-1) - Look to be just below the top tier of teams in Elephant but they did give Darfur a good game and whipped a decent Abbotsford team. The lack of solid teams in their conference make it difficult to compare them to the Lion teams so for the moment they're stuck looking up at the Lion top 4.

8) Serengeti Wildebeest (6-1) - A season away from contending but will attempt to slug it out with anyone. Their only loss is to a solid Le Thor team. It will be interesting to see if they can stay as close to Ironton as they did to Le Thor (38 points)

9) Johannesburg Gigolos (4-3) - Another exciting team that could easily be 6-1. They're a year away like Serengeti but they could surprise Le Thor or Luxembourg if they are overlooked.

10) Uganda Stink Apes (4-3) - Yeah they beat Gigolos but they had a chance to make the big 4 become the big 5 in Lion and they didn't get it done. They could run the table against everyone else except Wallachia (and they could beat them too) or they could drop games to Houston and Serengeti going forward. Very engimatic.

Honorable Mention: Kazham Golden Horde (close to being ranked); Abbotsford Garden Gnomes (much like the Stink Apes...quality team that hasn't been able to put it together yet)

"Then he slunk to the ice box. He took the Whos' feast. He took the who pudding, he took the roast beast. He emptied the ice box as quick as a flash. Why, the Grinch even took the last can of who hash."

Think the Tanks will have our own Christmas Feast, and dine on some tender Roast Beast!
