Sorry...minimal time tonight trying to get kids old toys packed up for Goodwill and getting gifts wrapped for Christmas since I have to work every day this week up until Christmas. Quick Top 5

1) Ironton
2) Le Thor
3) Luxembourg
4) Wallachia
5) Serengeti

Honorable Mention: Uganda, Johannesburg

GOTW: Easily the Lions vs the Wamphyrii. I'll be surprised if this one isn't a close, hard fought game. The teams are very similar in composition and this one may well come down to which way the sim bounces as they seem pretty equal based only on performances in preseason and early in the year. This one may well be for which team gets home field advantage in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

Also interesting: Serengeti vs the Gigolos- The Wildebeest played with the Bats for a half and will be a force in the future. The Gigolos have looked strong except for a week 2 debacle at Wallachia and look to be a playoff lock.

Completely agree. Good luck to you guys because I think this is going to be one heck of a game. I know we are burning some midnight oil preparing for this one.

Luxemburg at Wallachia.

Luxemburg comes in at 5-0, and the #1 Offensive and Defensive team in the Lion Conference. Their first three wins were against less than average opponents, but did win convicingly in their last two games against decent teams. Wallachia should be chomping at the bits to prove they belong back in the top three teams discussion. Wallachia has been tested once, but failed to live up to the hype. Posting the leagues 2nd best offense and 6th best defense, I am sure the Wallachia will be ready. The key to the game will be Luxemburg's rushing offense stacking up against Wallahia's Dline. I've seen 1st hand the Wallachi defense, so my opinion is biased.
Prediction: Wallachia 23 - Luxemburg 21, on a last second FG.

Wow.....I was cautiously optimistic for a win....I did not expect that. FWIW, I will say I spent more time developing an offensive gameplan for this game vs Luxembourg than I have in probably 3 seasons as I thought it was a winnable game that could determine playoff seeding (as well as I felt the need to prove we're a legitimate team following the buttwhoopin' the Tanks gave us). Offensively, I failed to correct one small thing that fortunately didn't have any impact on the game other than it kept us from scoring a few more points. Defensively, I can't imagine a better gameplan than what Wil75 put together (gotta give him his props....his presence allows me to spend all the minimal time I have purely on the offense).

Bottomline, I don't think we're 30 points better than Luxembourg but I do think we redeemed ourselves a pretty good bit.

Impressive performace by Wallachia. I am sure Lux will rebound though.

Did anybody check out the Serengeti/Gigolos game. 59-52, OT win by Serengeti.

Yeah....only had time for a blurb as the jambalaya I made just smelled too good. I thought that would be a heckuva game by a couple of teams that are likely a year away from competing for the title. They'll both be playoff teams I think and and are entertaining no doubt. Congrats to the Wildebeest for coming out on top in the shootout.

You certainly did redeem yourselves. That was an old fashioned butt-whoopin'. Anytime a team can keep the ball for 40 minutes during a game, the odds are really good that they are going to win. We are going to have to go back to the drawing board and get our own redemption on the Stink Apes.

Congrats on a well-played game. We will certainly learn from it.

Ball is not bouncing the Gigolos way this yr. Two close games away from 5-1 instead of 3-3.

GG Wildebeest!

Just don't piss off the Stink Apes too badly before we have to play them. Angry Stink Apes are never a good thing.
