I will try to continue doing these for each game but it will only be for Alpha from here on out and I can't promise anything.

OPL Week 1 Interconference Showdown
Bikini Island Atomic Surfers vs. Sumatra Sea Hawks
Starting with what looks to be a tossup. This is an established rivalry and while I could see it going either way I don't think it will be much different from last season's go 'round. I expect Bikini will pull away early in the 4th and never look back. Atomic Surfers by 10
So Cal BDC vs. Vanuatu Volcano
BDC looked good coming out of the preseason and while Vanuatu seems to be coached well I don't see So Cal losing any speed today. BDC by 48
Gold Coast Michelin Men vs. Atlantis Lost Souls
With this being GCMM's first OPL game and ALS being an OPL veteran I feel like this game is set up to be a rude awakening for the Michelin Men. However, on paper GCMM looks to be a bit better imo. I think it will be a good game but I see my boys pulling out their inaugural Pro level battle. Michelin Men by 24
Fiji Ventures vs. Sydney Sea Dragons
This game, to me, is another that could go either way. Fiji got only 1 W in the preseason to the Sea Dragons 3 but while the Ventures were faced with a pretty rough schedule, Sydney had a lot of new OPL teams. Fiji can win tonight but I'm giving the edge to the Sea Dragons. Sydney by 13
Taylor Bulldogs vs. Berlin Kreuzberg Red Stars
I'm asking myself two questions when I look at this matchup. Is Taylor as shaky as they look to be and is Berlin as solid as they appear to be? If so this could be a blow out by the Red Stars. I think it will be closer than some might imagine after looking at the preseason results but I do expect Berlin to win decisively. Taylor is an old foe of ours so I hope they can pull this out but I doubt it's in the cards. Red Stars by 42
Telstar Rebels vs. Samoa Flying Foxes
Telstar desperately wants to win this one. They are clearly on the hump right now and teetering. If they could come out of this game with a W it would go a long way toward getting them going in the right direction. Samoa is better than the preseason showed and they didn't look bad. The Rebels are going to have to play very well or the Flying Foxes are going to have to come out and lay an egg if Telstar is going to take this one. I doubt Samoa will play bad enough to lose but the Rebels can play well enough to win I think. With that said the Flying Foxes should win with some breathing room. Samoa by 17
Molokai Lavastorm vs. Las Vegas Super Bears
Lavastorm by a lot!!!
Asau Assassins vs. Gold Coast Vipers
Asau is another newcomer who wants to get over the hump early in their OPL career but as many will tell you, that is easier said than done. The Vipers are a veteran OPL team and are looking to move to the next level this season and I think that is very likely. Our brothers from Gold Coast should hold serve for Alpha here and Asau is going to need some breaks to make the outcome different. Vipers by 38
Christchurch Knightmares vs. Tasmania Tigers
I'm not sure what is going on in Tasmania but I know CK is the real deal. Based on that alone I am taking the Knightmares by a ton. Christchurch by 198,756.87
Christchurch Fighting Maori vs. College Town NWA Feeble Minds
This should also be a good game pitting an up and comer against an incumbent. I think Christchurch has the advantage but I wouldn't be shocked if the boys from CTFM find a way to win. Fighting Maori by 14
Guam Gorillas vs. (N.M.I) Pagan Fire Eaters
The Fire Eaters may be playing possum but at the moment they seem to be on shaky ground. Guam is a well coached team and they too have been here before. I can see this going either way but for some reason I am tempted to take N.M.I.. Pagan Fire Eaters by 3
Samoa Savages vs. Eastern European Alliance
Samoa had the rougher time during the preseason but they played EEA tightly. Whether much can be taken from that game is unknown but I expect it showed us which is the better team. I anticipate the Alliance will put more distance between the two teams tonight but Samoa could find a way to win if they can get a break or two. EEA by 20
Gold Coast Megalodons vs. Liechtenstein Lycans
It appears there may be trouble in the Megalodons locker room. They are looking to be about 50% inactive and that makes it tough to gameplan at this level. They may be able to find ways to adjust but when facing a team of the Lycan's caliber one had better be bringing their A game. I don't see how that can be possible here but I could be wrong I suppose. Liechtenstein by 10
Port Moresby Scallywags vs. USB Rough Riders
Port Moresby seems to have the advantage here. USB is a team that can gameplan you out of a win but I doubt they get the job done tonight. Scallywags by 23
Brisbane Bulldogs vs. Guam Chamoros Rising Sun Devils
Another battle of the Newbie vs the Veteran. Guam is very capable of winning this game but Brisbane is also formidable. I think this one will come down to a 3rd quarter turnover. I love my boys from the Sun Devils but I think they drop this one. Bulldogs by 6
Booty Island Green Goblins vs. Phoenix Eagles
Phoenix took the preseason preview of this game but that doesn't equate to a W here. I can see many ways for the Green Goblins to win this one but I see more for the Eagles. Phoenix by 9
