Ok Uncapped 11 had nothing going on in the forum and it'd be nice for this place to get active. No clue about the Elephant conference except that Darfur is pretty good. And since I only have a little time and haven't done any elaborate scouting, I'm just gonna throw a top 5 out there for the Lion Conference from what I've seen so far.

1) Ironton Tanks - Loaded with high level starters but really didn't have any tests during the preseason. Still it's hard to not put the team with 60+ level starters across the board as the odds on favorites.

2) Wallachia Wamphyrii - Biased here but the Wamphyrii have a balanced offense with some gamebreakers at the offensive skill positions. Their DLine gets pressure on the QB and the secondary is full of ballhawks. They did beat a good Darfur team in the preseason but those games didn't count.

3) Le Thor Devil Bats - Solid performances since scrimmage one and their roster looks good across the board. Plus the name is pretty damn cool.

4) Uganda Stink Apes - Really this is just a tie for 3rd place. They have looked strong as well and also boast a stacked roster. Their next game vs the Devil Bats may help determine which is the contender and which one isn't ready

5) Luxembourg Lions - On paper don't appear to be far behind the 2-3-4 teams. Their opening game against a cupcake didn't allow much evaluation beyond that. One to watch as they play teams closer in level.

Honorable Mention: Serengeti Wildebeest

At first glance, there doesn't appear to be any other teams that will challenge for the title. Didn't mean to slight anyone but please feel free to throw out your thoughts. Also like some Elephant teams to maybe handicap their conference too.

It appears that the Tanks will get tested in our fourth game.
Nice article.

You left out the Space Cowboys. They are a very good team that is going to be in the playoff hunt too.

That opening game loss by the Cowboys didn't impress me too much. But you guys have a chance to show what you can do against Ironton in 2 days. You stay within 35 of those guys and you'll get an honorable mention at least.

I think you are confusing us with another team since we don't play Ironton until the end of the season. However, when we do play Ironton, you can be assured that we will stay within 35 points.

I feel there are 5-6 teams that could win this conference. Anything can happen when it's a one and done playoff format. I agree that the HSC didn't look like the same team after comparing their two games. We are certainly not taking them lightly. Although I do admit I have the 4th and 16th game on our scheduled circled.

Sorry....you posted about the Space Cowboys so I wrongly assumed you were a part of the Space Cowboys. I agree Luxembourg is one of the contenders. However I don't think the Space Cowboys are....at least not at this time.

I wouldn't think being rated #4 is underestimating you guys. According to this thread, you are rated above us, for example.

I think you are underestimating the Cowboys. The opening day loss was to Fat Jaws Badness who may be the best team in Elephant Conference this season. They have a solid roster and the only thing I could see that would prevent them from competing would be poor game planning (which does happen). We are facing them in Week 5 and we are definitely going to be prepared - just like we'll be prepared for the game the following week against you guys.

Actually Primate is not a member of the Stink Apes.

guess I'm just saying if you lose 71-6 to a team in the other league, I'm not guessing they're championship material. That being said, we may lose to Ironton 71-6 and not be worthy of the top 5 either.

Gigolos will earn respect soon enough. We're not in the top 3, but we'll be pushing for 5th or 6th place imo.

You could also beat Ironton 71-6, and move to the #1 spot.
