Warrior General Games

An early jump on this since a lot of teams are still getting their ducks in a row, but I'll start it up anyways. Who are going to be the teams to beat in our league?

I know in my conference I'm keeping an eye on the Bulls and the Stallions. Along with my Cardinals, they look to have their teams in place pretty well so far. There's a few other teams that are getting there too in the conference like the Tanks and the Stunners.

Basically the teams you've listed. I'm with the Tanks and so far we are about 4 or 5 starters short of an all Human team, which I think there are only a handful of.

In our particular Zeta Conference, your squad looks good as well as the Bulls and Stallions. You three are probably our main competition so far.

In the Alpha Conference, Penguins are starting to form up, Scabs look like most complete team, Spartans need some D work, Liverpool Spartans are solid, Goats and Grizzlies look good too. Goats have a stout D.

If I had to pick a top team from either conference on paper:

Alpha: Goats (They have the best D in the entire League, both Alpha and Zeta)
Zeta: Stallions (Probably the front runner for the championship)

Since 75% of this game is how the coaches scout the other team and then put into effect the right way to play each game I think it's impossible to know who is going to be in the front at the end of the season until we've seen how active each manager/coach is in the game. They'll need a good scouting staff, to know the ins and outs of what plays to launch against an all pass team, and of course how to manage energy properly to get the most out of each of their players.

I'll hold my calls until at least 6 games in to see what happens when each of the teams goes against each other.

Absolutely this is all speculative since we have no idea how teams play, but it is still fun and a time waster and quite honestly what would I rather be doing at 1pm at my office? Work?

Exactly Robbiesol, why I started the thread. Anxious for start of season, and want to start talking about it.

Anyone else have a lineup that's built to run a 3-4 defense? I based my 4-3/3-4 decision on who I recruited, and ended up landing a lot of LBs and very few DTs, so the 3-4 became a natural choice. Of course, the strategy isn't in the game yet, so my roster is shifted into a 4-3 until it arrives, which I hope happens early in the season.

Man that anxious anticipation can be a beeyotch. I'm ready to go like yesterday!

I also feel anxious like a mother, and I agree with most of what was said. Only a handful of teams have a mojority of human players, but all will tell with the coaching and scouting. Maybe some early season sign-ons will make a difference as well.

First game is scary. You can check out rosters, but without some kind of history, game-planning will be tough.

pray for an all CPU team that first game . Really gives you some leeway.

Almost feel bad for admitting it, but yeah I am. Of course, with no history, it gives the offenses an edge game 1. I expect scores to be a little higher than the norm for game 1.

After some early scouting I think there a 3 or 4 teams showing very good potential...
